Sadly we only got to stay one evening, but the host of the hotel was very friendly. Wonderful town as well, very close to a nice walking trail (the Ulster Canal Trail). Very much a traditional, cozy BNB experience. Highly recommend

As a traveling salesperson, this was a great find. offering good value for money. Clean room and the bed was better then most of the hotels I have stayed in for many years.I will be using Ashleigh Guest House again on my visits to the area.

Amazing stay in heart of Monaghan town,I stayed for a wedding two nights.The b&b itself is spotless comfortable beds rooms are spotless.Breakfast was great a lot of choice.Staff very friendly indeed,will definitely be back for a longer stay soon .😎👍

Stayed at Ashleigh B&B overnight as we were at a family wedding in the area. Very clean & comfortable accommodation,  ideal for our stay in Monaghan.  Friendly efficient staff, lovely breakfast. Highly recommend if in the area. On street parking available just outside the guest house and a larger parkng area available nearby which charges €1 per day.

Brilliant accommodation

Trudi is an excellent hostess. We were given a warm welcome and the room was modern & the beds provided us with a brilliant nights rest. Breakfast would easily compete with any hotel that we’ve stayed in prior. Ashleigh house felt like a home away from home and we will definitely be coming back again in the future. Thanks for having us Trudi.

Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay while visiting local family in the area. Our host Trudy was very hospitable and warmly accommodated our additional breakfast guests each day. We enjoyed our traditional Irish breakfasts and good  location.  Have coins handy to feed metered morning parking.

A delightful guest house close  to visit our Monaghan extended family.

I stayed in Ashleigh House from 30 May - 04 June 2022 when I travelled from South Africa to Monaghan to attend a wedding. The outside does not prepare you for the beautiful charming inside that awaits you. My room was beautifully decorated and friends who visited me was equally impressed with the place. Breakfast was prepared to order by the lovely owner and was tasty and adequate. The downside was that there was no wifi for the duration of my stay due to the owner being let down terribly by a new service provider. The guesthouse is walking distance to the centre of town with its Shopping Centre and some nice shops. I highly recommend Ashleigh House to anyone looking for accommodation in Monaghan. 

Charming and centrally located guesthouse 

Fantastic guest house. We were allowed to check in early with no additional charge. The owners were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was very modern, spacious and clean. 
Breakfast was also brilliant. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever in Monaghan. Thank you for a great stay!

Brilliant Guest House

Amazing service and so friendly from start to finish.  Made feel at home and a proper irish B&B experience.  I was having a procedure at the hospital on my departure morning and couldn’t eat beforehand as I was fasting.  The lovely staff were kind enough to suggest I call when I was out of my procedure and they had breakfast prepared for me before getting the bus back to Dublin.  You don’t get this kind of treatment anywhere any more.  This is the definition of above and beyond.

Could not be better!

We are just back from Ashleigh House and we can verify at first hand that this house deserves the high ratings it receives. Martin & Ann are great hosts and they are really engaging with their guests and they have perfected the art of being friendly and about if needed yet they allow customers the space to do their own thing.

Wifi worked perfect which was important for our 2 girls and we were served a fine breakfast every morning and Martin was always in top form. The rooms were cleaned daily and there were fresh towels and linen everyday too and there was no noise in the rooms considering its location.  

For those that require the use of a TV, there are so many channels at hand that they won't be short of something to watch.

Ashleigh house is geographically in a great location and it made a great base for us when we were visiting different counties in the North.

There is on street parking for only 50cent an hour and there's always spaces nearby or you can park up the road for only a euro a day if you are staying around Monaghan.

We will definitely stay here again when we travel back up this side of the country.

Great hosts

We enjoyed two nights here in June. A perfect stopover while travelling from Wexford to Donegal. Martin & Ann were so welcoming & friendly, especially with kids, even making pancakes for them! It was great to have the living area to relax in with kids & bring a takeaway into. Rooms were spotless & breakfast was great. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic, homely guesthouse.

A nice and fairly typical Guest House/B&B establishment. Friendly staff. My room was at the top of the house (Third floor) so there were a few stairs to climb. The room was well equipped and comfortable.beware of the parking. The house has no parking of it's own. You park either on the street or at the bottom of the street in the car park. No problem with either location. A warning is that the street the house is on is a one way down the hill. Google maps kept trying to tell me to go up the road!!!

The entrance hall was so welcoming and had been decorated up so nicely for a Christmas. We were after a long travel day and check in was very quick. Our room was very inviting with comfortable beds and lots of space. The shower was super. Martin made a delicious breakfast the following morning and himself and his wife were lovely hosts and made us feel most welcome. Our stay was short but I would stay there again.
