Massive rooms - ours had two bedrooms and a capacity for a family of five!

This is an amazing, magical place. Mary has created a warm, comfortable, and serene home here on the Inishowen. It is surrounded by such natural beauty and Mary really makes you feel welcome.

We loved our stay at Whitestrand and visit to Malin Head. Mary was a wonderful,, warm, and welcoming host who knew the area and provided great advice for visiting the cliffs and other sites in the area. The BNB is very comfortable. clean with great beds, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast options, and only minutes from the cliffs. It’s definitely worth the drive to see the northern-most tip of Ireland and the endless vista. Whitestrand a great place to stay - we were there for two nights and would have stayed longer.



Loved our stay here!  Great location to explore Malin Head, Mary is a fabulous host - very helpful, kind & full of tips for the area.  Her breakfasts were delicious & our room was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable.  Hope to return someday!  

Our family of 4 stayed for 1 night during our visit to Malin Head.  We loved Whitestrand B&B and Mary was so welcoming!  Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable.  The family room was perfect for us - one of the best rooms we had during our 2 weeks in Ireland.  Breakfast was delicious too!  

This was our last night on our Mizen Head to Malin Head cycling adventure. Our party was delighted to find somewhere so close to our final destination, and our delight increased when we met Mary (a wonderful host) and saw our spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation. Delicious breakfast set us on our way the next day

Mary  was the best host and her B and B is lovely. She is so friendly and offered suggestions on things we could do. We would definitely stay with her again! She made us feel very welcome in her home. It was clean and the breakfast was wonderful.

We had a wonderful one night stay at Whitestrand in Malin Head. Mary was a lovely host, served a lovely breakfast.  Beautiful part of Ireland and loved waking up to such a beautiful landscape.  Plan to take a drive to the top of Malin Head and enjoy a spectacular view!

For the many times we've visited Mary and her beautifully kept accommodations, this was the best!  We had the great fortune of staying for 2 nights at the Portmor Cottage, and THE VIEWS!! Easy access to the beach(and Farrens Bar) and a short drive  for breakfast...just the best!!  Thank you again Mary

Nice accommodations and a wonderful host. Mary cooked us delicious and enormous breakfasts and gave us loads of useful information and recommendations. Quiet location with a sea view, just a few minutes drive from the Malin Head attractions.

Malin Heads Best!

We stayed in self catering cottage right on the harbour but Mary kindly agreed to provide breakfast at Whitestrand b & b. Everything was perfect, cottage was clean and cosy, breakfast was second to none and Mary was so friendly and accommodating and she gave me a pot of her husband's home produced honey, on leaving. Highly recommend this B & B

Lovely area, friendly, accommodating and helpful hostess, accommodation clean and comfortable. Who could ask for more?

This was our first B&B and it set the bar extremely high for any other. Mary was our host and she was simply fantastic! The accommodations were quite nice with plenty of quite space to relax after a day of touring, driving and running all over during our holiday.

We were welcomed and shown to our room, Mary made sure to explain everything and also got us set for breakfast the next morning. She's quite the host, very warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and things to see. Malin Head is such a beautiful place to visit and Whitestrand is the B&B to enjoy! We will be back, definitely! 

The Best, Simply The Best. 

Mary, the owner, could not have been more accommodating! She is an amazing woman who treated us like family. We stayed in the cabin which was charming, clean and located on the water. Our friends stayed next door in the two bedroom apartment. She recommended lunch and dinner restaurants and even drove and picked us up as we did not have a car! I have never been made to feel more welcome than at the Whitestrand B&B! I highly recommend staying here!

Amazing place

My stay at Whitestrand B&B was just heavenly! Mary was an exceptional host: kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable about Malin Head and the greater Inishowen peninsula. I don’t think I’ve experienced a more tranquil and beautiful place. Much gratitude to Mary for making me feel at home and enhancing my solo-travels across the idyllic Co. Donegal. Gorgeous breakfast as well! I can’t praise Whitestrand B&B enough!

Melon head, is the northern most point in beautiful Ireland. Rocky hills and Virgin Meadows provide a beautiful setting for Whitestrand B&B. Mary, the owner, has created an inviting oasis that is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well located in an area suited for many outdoor activities. Breakfast starts your day with homemade jams, variety of breads, and a full breakfast to your desires. If you’re looking for a quiet place for a getaway, Malin Head and Whitestrand is the place. The Seaview restaurant, in the very small village, is a hidden gem that gives you a fine dining experience with excellent food and service is only a short drive away.

A peaceful stay in Malin Head, County Donegal

Mary greeted us and got us settled in our rooms.  She was able to recommend a local restaurant and, after our long drive up to Malin Head, she drove us up to the hotel so we wouldn't have to get the car out again. Rooms were comfortable and bathrooms good as well.  Breakfast was excellent and the porridge was some of the best we've had on our two trips to Ireland!  Views were beautiful and the B&B was off the main road, but not too far!  Mary was a great host and we would definitely stay here again.
