Get together with the Girls, we had a lovely stay. Rooms comfortable, warm and very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Perfect location on Main Street. Will definitely book again. 

Spent one night at this hotel on the Main Street (Henry St) in Kenmare and was highly impressed. From when we arrived to when we departed the following morning we were looked after so professionally. Our room was lovely with all the usual facilities with a nice big bathroom. The service provided was second to none, cleanliness excellent. We dined in the hotel for breakfast and dinner and the attentiveness of the staff was a credit to the owners. The food was divine for dinner and breakfast and Mary - who looked after us for breakfast - I think she was the one where was brilliant. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would hope to visit again soon.

We only stopped through Kenmare for 24 hours but we had a really lovely time and made all the better for staying at Davitt's. We spent 2 weeks in Ireland and stayed at a number of places - this was probably our favourite! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodated us with an early check in. Room was great - clean and comfortable! Fantastic breakfast with a couple of great vegetarian options on the menu - really set up us up for a day of sight-seeing in Kerry. Mary the host at Davitt's is a lovely lady with excellent local knowledge and helped us to plan out our trip on the ring of Kerry. We will be back! Thanks Mary and team.

I have to use the same word others have used to describe this place. What a gem! Spotless lovely accommodation. Wonderful staff and an extensive breakfast menu is included .  There isn’t coffee or tea in rooms but if you request they will bring it to you . 

Stayed at Davitts and couldn’t have been more pleased. Super helpful and accommodating staff. Rooms were very clean. The breakfast was amazing (Eggs Benedict was my personal favorite). The owner Mary couldn’t have done enough for us. Absolutely brilliant. We will be back.

My mom and I had such a great time at Davitts GH. Thank you Mary for your hospitality.  Beds were comfortable. And I didn’t expect the rooms that quiet.  We had room 7 and 9. 
breakfast for us was just perfect. Also dinner.  We had delicious salmon and best Fish &Chips. 
Pubs and shops are all walking distance. 
It‘s also walking distance to the gorgeous Kenmare Park. 
Golf course isn’t far away if you’re interested in playing. 
Parking wasn’t a problem. 
All in it was a great stay.

We stayed at Davitts in Kenmare.  We had the time of our lives.  The staff is kind, genuine and knowledgeable.  The attention to detail was spot on.   The room was clean, charming and had all we needed.  We had tea brought up to us and the food was excellent!  We will be back!

We booked a triple room in Davitts last week.I have stayed there before with my  husband but neither of my 2 friends had been there . We were all so impressed by everything. We had a beautiful meal that night and the following morning we had an amazing breakfast. The  choices on the menu are so varied and I do think its the best breakfast I ve ever had in a b and b or hotel.Mary ,the owner couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitalble.We look forward to doing it all again and Davitts gets a big Thumbs up from us all.Great value for money too!

We recently stayed with Mary at Davitt's Guesthouse for 3 nights. She is an amazing host: sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and provides an unbelievably delicious breakfast. The location is PERFECT set in the middle of the main street directly across from Crowley's which is a well-known pub in Kenmare. The rooms are large and quiet with very nice bathrooms and showers, but Mary is truly the gem of Davitt's Guesthouse.

We give this a 5 star because Mary, the owner, was such a wonderful part of our trip.  She did everything to make our stay a good one.  Davitts is perfectly located in the heart of Kenmare.  Walk out the door and you are right at the shops and pubs.  She has a wonderful restaurant attached and we had an excellent made to order breakfast each morning with wonderful ideas from her on what not to miss while visiting Kenmare!  This is truly an example of Irish hospitality!

Davitt's Kenmore is a "Guesthouse" and classifies itself as a B&B.  To me, the latter implies an engaged owner who greets each guest, probably sees them at breakfast the next morning, and is attentive to their questions.  That's not what Davitt's is about.  The space is primarily a restaurant (quite good!) on the main street of Kenmare, with 10-12 guest rooms upstairs and behind the restaurant.  Upon arrival, we pressed a bell which resulted in someone from the restaurant checking us in and giving us our key.  We were told to call for problems--but our one phone call wasn't answered.  When we checked out, it was another restaurant employee--the waitress who had just served us breakfast--who sent us on our way.  So not a personal, B&B experience.

But that's not to say that the not-quite-a-hotel and certainly not a B&B experience was bad.  The guest rooms are upstairs and behind the restaurant, away from the street noise.  Our room was reasonably spacious, immaculate and reasonably quiet (okay, there was some noise through our open windows from the late-night pubs but it was minimal.)  There was a wardrobe and plenty of space for luggage.  The decor was dated rather than luxurious, but was in excellent repair.  The WiFi worked well.  There's no elevator so you'll need to haul your luggage up one, or maybe two flights of stairs.  Breakfast was included, and is served in the restaurant from a menu with some items from a buffet.  Our waitress both mornings was delightful (and full of helpful tourism recommendations); it was easy to customize our breakfast order.  Parking it where you find it, probably at a lot around the corner from Davitt's, or if that is full, a parking lot further away by the church.

I don't know if there are better options in Kenmare, but Davitt's--which is not a B&B and not quite a hotel--is a reasonable option.  I'd stay there again.

All the five star comments about Davitts I wholeheartedly endorse, but in my case, they went above and beyond the call of duty.

Due to my own ineptitude using Booking.com, I had inadvertently mucked up the booking for myself, my sister and her husband, somehow ending up with six beds for three people. Then in steps Mary who, with grace and charm, sorted me and my mess out. This was all done in a way that left me feeling like a genuinely valued customer. Thank you Mary!

Actually didn't stay over, but will next time. We had the most amazing breakfast one morning as our accommodation didn't offer any... Brioche french toast with Chrispy bacon maple syrup and cinnamon🤤 amazing.. then went back for dinner he had the best seabass and I the goat's cheese salad the staff are so friendly and the place is clean and warm and I wish we had found it earlier ❤️

You have to eat here

A group of us stayed here & i have to say its great value for money.  Staff were lovely & the rooms lovely clean, comfy & spacious.  Breakfast was yum.    Great Bunch here... If i have to criticize or recommend is that room maybe offer a light duvet or sheet cause we were very warm in the room but then it was a very humid night... but we loved our stay & will definitely be back.
