Pomadora Guesthouse

We spent one wonderful evening in this unique bed and breakfast in the heart of Freshford during the easter break. We were given a very warm welcome by Priscilla our hostess who brought us in for tea / coffee delicious cakes and biscuits before we settled into our room. We were not expecting that!!! The rooms are quirky and a little old fashioned however this just adds to the uniqueness of this wonderful guest house. Bed linen and towels absolutely top dollar, and the room itself was spotless. When we returned back to the guesthouse that evening Priscilla ensured the electric blanket was plugged in and the heating on in the room on full - the hospitality shown to us was just second to none. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with home made soda bread, fresh fruit salad and of course the full Irish Breakfast available to us to enjoy. This guesthouse cannot be faulted in any way and will really give any traveller to the Kilkenny area a real sense of what typical Irish hospitality looks like. We will definitely be back, and next time Ill make sure we get the soda bread recipe.....!!!!!
