This bed and breakfast was simply beautiful. Our Room#3 was straight up a gorgeous staircase, the room was gorgeous, spacious and the en suite was cozy but perfect. Good shower, good bed, little table for 2 with comfy chairs. Maggie, our hostess, was very helpful and cheery. We loved this home away from home. Maggie O, we send you Blessings! ♥️

This review is long overdue but after recommending Maggie O's to another friend planning their Ireland trip I couldn't help myself. We visited Maggie in 2016 and even though I never wrote her a review at the time she is still my go to recommendation. My husband and I traveled Ireland with no reservations and luckily stumbled upon Maggie. Not only did we have a wonderful room and a comfortable bed but we were close to town with great food and entertainment. Over breakfast Maggie talked us into staying another day in the area to visit the Ring of Kerry which ended up being our favorite part of the trip. We planned to stay an extra day with Maggie but unfortunately someone booked the room online before she was able to take it down. She was wonderful with  setting us up with another friend in town and we still talk about both B&Bs to this day.

We had a really lovely stay with Maggie and would highly recommend her B n B! Everything was great - the room was very cozy and comfortable with fresh clean towels and linen daily.  Breakfast was amazing and we really appreciated Maggie's personal touch and how accommodating she was.  Great location too!

Maggie was very welcoming and accommodating. Gave us plenty of local tips of places to visit. Would strongly recommend.she met us in person at check-in, and was such a lovely host at breakfast the next morning.

Maggie O's B&B is one for the books.  Maggie was so accommodating and she made us felt at home.  Maggie gave us great advise on where to visit and eat.  Location is great, quiet neighborhood and about 5 minute walk to town center.  Maggie O's B7B is highly recommended.  Thank you Maggie!

We had an incredible stay with Maggie! Everything was perfect, cozy and comfortable and her breakfast presentation was that of a fine restaurant! A++ for everything from fresh towels each day to the bed being made up each day and a delicious continental breakfast each morning. She totally spoiled us - and she was a delightful host. She has nailed this airbnb thing! Well be back!

Not only a variety of breakfast choices including lovely porridge with some Bailey’s and fantastic salmon bagels, but personalized advices for whole Kerry tours, Maggie offers all. Please listen to her and visit the Killarney House, a hidden gem in town. Don’t judge it from its wall, it’s fabulous inside and I passed by one afternoon before sunset. The lake, the light, the garden, AMAZING! thanks to Maggie! If you’re a solo traveler like me, trust Maggie’s recommendations for tours. Share your thoughts and she knows the best way to do it! Such a wonderful hostess and she exudes true Irish warmth!  We had planned on only staying with her one night.  We were going to do the whole Ring of Kerry drive, but the weather forecast called for rain and Maggie said we likely won’t see much at the tip by the water. She recommended we visit Killarney House and Muckross House instead.  We did and they were very nice.  Muckross has the 3 types of Irish farms on it with people doing Irish things so you can experience what 1800’s life was like.  We still had time so we ventured to drive half the Ring.  It wasn’t too bad.  However we ran out of time to drive on to Cork City likeI had planned.  So a quick call to Maggie where our room was available and we spent a lovely 2nd night and we all became family.  If you are in Killarney Maggie O’s is the place to stay!❤️

Glad we discovered this lovely small B&B. The rooms are really nice and spacious, breakfast was amazing and Maggie is an absolute delight and gave us lots of recommendations for our travels. Great location in walking distance from Killarney town center, there is a shortcut from the back yard, from there it takes max. 10 minutes to the center. We can highly recommend to stay here if you want to visit Killarney National Park, Muckross House or do the Ring of Kerry!

When our map took us into a residential neighborhood we were not sure we were in the right place but we were sure glad this is where we ended up!

Maggie is the most gracious and helpful hostess! Not only did she chat, recommend great places to stop, she also sang to me. "Are ye right there Michael"....You feel you are part of her family! 

Beds are large and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The walk to down is very quick via the secret backyard path. 

Our only regret is we did not have more time to spend in Killarney. We will be back at Maggie O's when we do return!

My husband and I and our twin adult daughters stayed 2 nights at Maggie O's B and B during our self drive holiday of Ireland. We stayed in the 2 upstairs bedrooms. It was one of my favourite B and Bs in Ireland. Many factors added to its appeal:

House and rooms: Lovely soft furnishings and decor added to the relaxing feel of this home. Big comfy beds and good sized rooms. The ensuite was small in both rooms with the mirror placement not suited for 6 footers. Adequate off street parking

Location: Maggie's O's was located in a residential area but within 10 minutes easy walk to the town centre shops and restaurants via the back gate. 

A really great bonus was that it was also less than 5 minutes walk to the Safehands laundry. As Killarney was the halfway point of our holiday we really appreciated having a place close by where we could get our laundry done. For 18 euros a basket we were able to drop off our laundry at Safehands (including our small goods, bras and undies) and pick them up the next day all beautifully washed ironed and folded.

My daughters stated they did hear some traffic noise from their rooms but it did not bother my husband and I from our room. I did hear children playing in the streets in the evening but we tend to go to bed very early. In the morning I could hear the distant clip clapping of the horses and their carts but to me that is the sound of Killarney.

Breakfast: Lovely breakfast. My first time being served porridge with a swirl of Baileys. I am converted! Maggie was very attentive and made sure we were all well satisfied. 

Host: Maggie was such a great host. So welcoming, caring, attentive with a great sense of humour. Just the sort of personality I was hoping we would meet in Ireland. We had to allow at least one hour for breakfast each morning so we could be entertained by Maggie. She gave us great advise on what to see, do and eat in Killarney (including what flavour ice cream!) and on our future travels. We only stayed 2 nights but when we left I felt we were leaving a friend and we all had to give her a big hug.

Thank you Maggie for a wonderful stay in your home. I highly recommend your B and B and hope to stay there again some day
