This was my second time staying with Bernie and I would certainly come back again.  Willow House is very comfortable, and the breakfast menu is fresh and varied.  Getting back and forth to the city is easy on the bus, but there are also good restaurants a short walk away. Bernie was so welcoming and helpful.

This was my fourth stay at Willow House. As always, I was greeted like an old friend by landlady Bernie. I was staying with friends for a week in Dublin and nothing was too much trouble for this lovely landlady. I was shown to my 'usual' room and given an extra blanket to make sure that I was comfortable, it wasn't necessary because even in the middle of January, the house was warm and welcoming. Everything you need is there, en-suite facilities, kettle with tea and coffee for your comfort, television and very comfortable bed. The breakfast is wonderful, lots of choice and Bernie serves it up freshly cooked with a smile and a chat. I've stayed in Dublin several times, with either my husband or friends, but now I've found Willow House, there is never any doubt about where I will stay. 
I cannot fault Willow House or its owner and have no hesitation to recommend it for anyone. There is a bus stop just outside the door that takes you into the City Centre in about 20 minutes, the airport is only about 30 minutes away from the stop on the other side of the road.

I spent another truly enjoyable week at Willow House at the end of January with two of my daughters and a friend.  This incredible B&B cannot be praised highly enough - due in no small part to Bernie - Dublin's GREATEST landlady!  Nothing is too much trouble for her - friendly, welcoming, an excellent cook and a cracking sense of humour! We are always greeted as old friends and a week at Willow House is good for the soul.  We shared a beautiful triple room overlooking Drumcondra Road - cosy, immaculately clean and so comfortable, with en-suite WC and shower and tea/coffee making facilities. Bernie's breakfasts are delicious and there is a huge choice - all freshly cooked to order.... Full Irish Breakfast; great omlettes with grilled tomato and cheese; French toast with bacon and syrup; scrambled eggs and bacon or smoked salmon; fresh fruit salad and yoghurt; selection of cheeses and choice of cereal, orange juice, brown soda bread, toast, jams, marmalade, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.......the list is endless!  Conveniently situated on the route from Dublin Airport and for buses into Dublin City Centre every few minutes - and near various attractions including Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum, the Botanic Gardens and Croke Park.  This is a B&B not to be missed!

Another wonderful stay at Willow House

Willow House - a wonderful home from home which NEVER disappoints!

Altough the overall experience was nice, the service was good and the room decent there is one objection. It was very very cold during the night because they turn off the heating at night, which is terrible.

Too cheap to turn on the heating

I had booked a double room with almost a months notice for the night before the all ireland final.  The was confirmed by the b&b. On the evening before our planned stay I received a message from the management saying there was no room available.  No explanation was given. This left us arriving back in ireland from abroad with no accommodation. They didn't even have the courtesy to suggest or advise us of alternative accommodation. Obviously cashing in on the all ireland final happening that weekend. Taking advantage of genuine people on a busy weekend. No better than touts.
