They really helped us out. We had been turned away late at night from another place at which we had reservations and they fit us in. The property was spotless and well located. The owner was very communicative with patience and kindness, explaining everything in detail so we could have a wonderful two night stay.

A very pleasant 10 day stay. Sean and Cathal were both attentive and prompt when needed. Sean upon arrival gave me a tour of close by stores, including a well equipped grocery store with deli and bakery, a  pharmacy, gas station with deli,  plus.....very close by the bus stop going to Galway.
The apartment was spotless.
As a lone international traveler of 55 yrs. I felt secure and safe. 
I would highly recommend staying here, and may return next year.

Just back from 6 nights. We had a great time. The location of the apartments is perfect, great sea views and in walking distance of everything. The apartment had everything we needed. Would definitely come back in the future.

My girls and I stayed here last week. Apartment was great, view fantastic and our hosts (only met with Sean), was friendly, informative, all COVID measures in place making us feel safe. The weather on the other hand wasn’t great, so no real swimming in the sea 😞. Galway a lovely city but even trying to book proved difficult. 
Any way was a break, Arus Grattan was fab, even my 16 year old enjoyed it. Would stay again.

Stunningly beautiful views, free parking,  beautiful apartment and handy walk from town. The apartment I had was well furnished, really clean and kitchen very well equipped. Super comfortable and I would totally recommend staying here. Cathal and Sean work really hard too and couldn't be nicer. I will definitely return. 

It was the second time I booked a holiday flat in this house. It is located in Salthill, close to the promenade. You can see the bay from the balcony. 
Restaurants and shopping opportunities are close by. You can go by bus to Galway or make a 15 minutes walk.
The rooms are very clean. Bed sheets and towels are changed once per week, also the bathrooms will be cleaned. In the kitchen is everything you need (oven, fridge, microwave, water heater, toaster, plates etc.) A flat TV is also available, the W-Lan is very good. Elevator is in good condition.
Parking space is included, either in the garage or at the parking space in front of the house.
The owner is very friendly, helpful and a perfect host.

I recently stayed here for a solo trip in June 2019. The apartments are quite spacious (I saw a couple of them), supplied with all of the amenities of home. Clean, comfortable. Quiet, safe, peaceful. A parking spot was provided, though I didn't have a vehicle. Choosing to walk or take public transportation instead. I found everything to be within a reasonable walking distance. Including multiple bus stops, restaurants, pubs, the city centre, Eyre Square, and the like. The owners and staff are quite pleasant and informative - adding to the enjoyable experience that I had. I would highly recommend and would stay here again on a future trip.

We recently stayed in aras grattan apartments for a week and were pleasantly surprised with our apartment. We wanted flexibility that does not come with a hotel. We were unsure as to what to expect as we never stayed in an apartment before for holiday purposes. However, we could not fault these apartments from the moment we arrived until we left. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean, relaxing etc with all the amenities required. Our apartment was spotless when we arrived. We required no help throughout the week but it was available if required. 

I would not pay attention to some of these comments, these are holiday apartments, there will be noise from time to time. This is why we choose to visit in Septemer as it is quieter. 

We will be back to Salthill in the future and would use these apartments for accommodation again. 

The sea view from the kitchen was amazing. This apartment is also conveniently located close to both salthill and Galway city. Local bus stop is a two minute walk which will bring you to the city for €2.30. Otherwise it's about a 2p minute walk. I would highly recommend walking by sea. 

The only thing I would like to change in this apartment would be a bigger double bed. 



We stayed (me and my mother aged 79) 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom appartment  in Grattan House (Mr. Sean Treacy, owner) in July 2016. We did not have any issue with the appartment, and Sean and his son were very kind and helpfull. The weather was great (rain only 1 day). Sean gave us useful counsels to visit the most fascinating places in Connaught. We will gladly come back.

Had a good stay at this apartment. Visited with 3 friends, the place could do with a little modern spruce up but everything was clean and in working order. Close enough to the city to walk and lovely views of Galway bay. The owner however was not very friendly and immediately threatened to call the police if any trouble. Really really poor welcome. This was saved on checkout day by his much more friendly son (maybe dad should let son greet the guests) 4/5 Enjoyed our stay apart from the first 20 mins!

Totally Brilliant 

We stayed here in a superior 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment which was perfect for us as 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. The owner was friendly and helpful, apartment was slightly dated but  clean spacious and had everything we could need. The big selling point of these apartments is the full length balcony with fabulous views across galway bay.. we enjoyed sitting out in the sun one day followed by watching storm Ellen the following day, Irish weather at its best! Location is also ideal,  situated at the far end of the prom with a nice 12 min walk into galway city. Safe underground parking also. We will return again 👍

Perfect location, amazing view

I stayed at the front apartment, 2nd floor in September and October 2019.
The landlords are very helpful. The location and size (two bed two bath) of apartment is good for a family or two couples who want a beachside holiday. Salthill is a seaside town, with restaurants, arcades, aquarium, cinema (new) and the promenade - beach directly opposite.
Well fitted out. All you need in appliances, kitchenware, etc. Bedding is clean and changed weekly. Towels are old and could be replaced, but clean.
Galway town is about 20 minutes easy walk, or the 401 bus is directly behind the apartment.
