If I could have tunneled my way out I would have done. 
The most depressing place I have ever stayed in my life. A truly awful experience. 
Needs huge money investment for furniture and decor update. 
The exterior of the complex was unkempt and woeful. We felt like we were in an asylum. 
Stay away.

Shawshank Redemption

Had a great time here couldn't fault the place the room we got 95 was perfect 3 bed apartment we had 2 adults 2 grown up adults and a 4 year old the wifi was super fast and we got Netflix on tv which was a bonus would definitely visit again 

Weekend in galway 

We recently stayed there on a family holiday and I was dreading it as some of the reviews were awful, but glad to say we had a lovely evening une there , The apartment was spacious , and clean . There was a lol belt green outside with some picnic benches , which was nice in the evenings as my daughter could go out and play , Dunnes stores is just a 10 minute walk away and Aldi was just a little further on down . The staff were very nice and extremely helpful , I would stay there again

Pleasantly surprised

Good sized accomodation. Could do with minor improvements such as new curtains but need were clean and comfortable. Yes it is clear that it is student accommodation during term time but hey ho. Close to salthill promenade for nice walks but is a good taxi ride away from the centre of Galway.i left my car keys behind and the staff gladly posted them to me which was great.

Great wee getaway

Stayed here for 4 nights. Apartment good and spacious, close drive to Salthill, NUIG, City. Had green area for kids to run about and free parking. Towels and soap in rooms. Beds comfortable and room warm.
TIPS
Only about 3 tea bags and 1 sugar sachet in kitchen. No coffee or milk. No guest information book or feedback forms.
No cleaning cloths or wash up liquid in kitchen.
No chopping board in kitchen.
No oven glove for use when cooking.
Had to ask for tea towels to be provided. 
No extra bin bags provided.
No information about position of bins.
Shower door in twin room installed incorrectly so very hard to regulate water temperature for kids without getting soaked!! We all used other shower.
Curtains in main bedroom mouldy and damp stained, disgusting!!
No info re tv channels, very limited!
Cleaning only ok! Hairs in shower and felt I had to buy cleaning spray and spray all surfaces. Freezer in need of defrosting. Out of date crackers left in cupboard from previous guests!!
Could hear man in upstairs apartment snoring and going to toilet during night!!!
Overall glad we weren't staying too long.

Needs A Good Clean and Visitor Information 

Stayed with friends for a few nights.  The rooms were spacious but smelled of damp.  The kitchen and sitting area were really dirty.  It was as if everything was cleaned with a greasy cloth!  The grill hadn't been cleaned out and had the grease and remnants of someones rashers and sausages!  the walls were dirty and cupboard doors were sticky.  Bring bleach if you are using the kitchen ware, the cups were all stained! There was absolutely nothing in the line of washing up liquid, a dish cloth, bin bags so make sure you bring your own.  We didn't spend much time in the apartment, so it wasn't much of an issue, but I'd have been complaining fairly promptly if I had kids with me.  Didn't seem to be a play area outside for children which is a shame as they have space on a big green area.  The smoke alarm was pulled off the sitting room ceiling...not good.  Would I stay again? Probably not.  The cleaners need to go back to cleaning school.

Needs a lot of TLC!

Just in case you are not aware, this is NOT a hotel, it is self catering apartments.
Ok so I will begin with the positives of this location:
* it is very close to Salthill
* It is close to several Dunnes stores and Monkey Business play area
* It is close to the motorway
 From what I can gather the receptionist was very friendly when my husband dealt with her on arrival and departure.
That's it.
Now for the negatives. I will tell you now I would not recommend this for a family and definitely not for anyone with young children.
* You are left a bath towel each when you arrive, no way to wash them as there is no launderette and no clean ones provided at all. So if you are there for a few days like we were you need your own towels. (but they provide a clothes drying rack)
*There were 2 bins in the kitchen with bags in them, but there were no replacement bags available if you were to take the bins out.
* There was no explanation of where to take your rubbish out, we had to find the skips in the huts around the sides ourselves.
* The dishes in the cupboards were greasy/dirty, and the frying pan in the oven was greasy as it hadn't been correctly washed.
* The oven took over 45 minutes to heat enough to cook chips
* Free Wifi but it is incredibly slow even if you are beside the router
* The knives provided for cooking were all blunt, wouldn't even chop an onion and no sharpener.
* The floors were dirty under the couches, obviously only cleaned around them before we came (but they provide a hoover)
* All the rooms smelled of dampness, we couldn't smell it on the first day as there was a plug in air freshener in the main living area, but we smelled it stronger as the days went on.
* The extractor fan in the bathroom was so loud you couldn't turn the light on at night as the fan sounded like a plane, it would wake anyone especially children.
* The water heater was incredibly loud any time we or any other apartment ran hot water.
*The walls and floors are very thin, you can hear other apartments walking around, turning on water, opening doors etc. And you can hear everything outside too, kids playing ball or cars etc. very easily.
* There is nothing in the complex for children except a green area. And the only thing nearby is the beach or the indoor play area, a 5 minute drive. so you are confined to the apartment with them.
* The front door is tricky to lock and unlock and if you leave your keys inside you will be locked out.
* There was no fire exit in our apartment (we were on ground floor)
* We emailed asking for a travel cot before arriving, we were told there was no blanket for it just a sheet which would have been fine, however the sheet was a large bed sheet thrown into the cot and the mattress on the cot was like a board so we put a duvet under our son.
* There is NOTHING supplied for you, not even the basics, no toilet paper, no soap, no washing up liquid, no bin bags, no washing up sponges, no salt/pepper/butter etc.
* There is only 1 small tea towel supplied for washing up.
I also noticed when we were there, that for most of the week there were vans around for plumbing and drains.

All in all I would not recommend. We paid €440 for 5 nights and it was not worth the money, they took advantage of the fact it was summer time and its close to the beach. Its clearly used as student accommodation after summer. There is supposedly security always around but I saw them on patrol only 2 evenings., and there is only a mobile phone number to contact them, and no phone in the apartment (well there was one but it was disconnected)
There was a brief handover left in the living area when we arrived with basics of how heating etc. worked but it was not accurate for the wifi and a few other things as these were different to the guide. And at the back there was a checklist of what you should do before you leave the apartment on your last day, felt like a list of chores to make their job easier, things like empty the bins, wash the dishes etc.

Dont waste your money, go somewhere better.

Not impressed, do not book if you have children

I stayed at Dunaras with my family from 28 July to 4 August. The accommodation is very comfortable, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels are also provided. The rooms are equipped with an indoor bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, with microwave, toaster and boiler. There are no washing machines and dishwashers. The security service is excellent, which constantly checks the houses at night. The only drawback is the distance from the center. The shuttle to the village has only two hours and is rather uncomfortable as well. Buses pass frequently but you have to take into account a nice expense to be able to use them. However, I would take it.

Good accommodation

I stayed at the Dunaras with my husband and 2 small children (1 and 3 years old) for 4 days in August and we found each other well. The apartment was very large, equipped with everything necessary. The village is not located in the center, but you can easily reach it by bus that stops 200 meters from the village or by the free internal shuttle which has only two hours (10 am and 6 pm). 10 minutes of travel. Mainly English customers. The reception staff was always courteous and available.

Practical

The apartments are located in a very large but quiet complex. The furnishings are essential, but nothing is missing, good cleaning. It is not very close to the center but public transportation passes a few tens of meters from the complex, and a private bus takes potential customers to the center twice a day. It is the ideal accommodation for university students, each room has its own desk and bathroom, internet access is free
