Booked last minute on a family road trip, immediately got aggressive text messages, voicemails and emails from the host demanding to know what time we’d be arriving (all within 5 minutes of me paying) - really bad vibes from the get go with her tone. After looking at the B&B and the reviews we immediately wanted to cancel but the host refused (she actually hung up on us after being verbally abusive, to paying customers), and refused when booking.com asked her too. Eventually, she agreed in writing to a partial refund 2 weeks ago and still to this day has not issued any refund. €200 down the drain for a hole that we never even stayed in. Do not stay here, absolutely avoid, host is a horrible bat of a woman that should not be allowed near other people let alone host customers in a “home”.

Needs to be shut down

The best thing about this place is the location, the rooms are tiny, filthy and old. While the staff were friendly the rooms are shabby and in dire need of updating and a good clean, from the carpet to the bed linen. The breakfast cereal was brought to us in a bowl at 5pm for the next morning with cling film over the bowl. The handle was broken off one of the cups. The bathrooms are filthy and the shower is tiny ( mind your elbows)  and the black  mould around the sink and shower is disgusting. The sink has a huge crack in it and the bathroom holders are rusty as are the lamps beside the beds, which only some work. It has that dirty sticky feel to it and needs a good deep clean and updating soon. So disappointed with this place and could not recommend it.

AVOID

We stayed here for 1 night for a hen party as we clearly stated. Arrived at 3pm and by 5pm we were told to be quiet because neighbours were relaxing in their garden by 11.30pm we were asked to go to bed and neighbours kept shouting over the wall to go inside then the lady herself was shouting out a skylite window at us to go inside but we were smoking outside. The next morning we woke up and there was no esb from 9.30 but conveniently was back on at check out time breakfast was 2 choices of cereal dats it. Then the lady picked up our empty bottles and some boxes and handed us the rubbish in bags and said take your rubbish with you even tho she got €80 per head from everyone an absolute disgrace especially since she was aware 14 women were coming for a hen party.

Booked for a hen party

Stayed with my husband for one unfortunate night in Feb 2020. Immediately met by aggressive proprietor who asked for payment and immediately left the house, not to be seen again for the duration of our stay. My son had booked and paid for the B&B already and had spoken to the owner, who still double charged us. We were abandoned at this stage and made our own way upstairs. We soon found out why. The rooms were DISGUSTING. Brown is the choice of colour for everything, but sodden wet, rotten carpet in the en suite forced us to keep the door closed at night, as the smell would have kept us awake. The house advertises flat screen TV, but we got a small tv with snow on every channel. The breakfast room was ‘higgledy-piggledy’, all over the place. Low standard of food available, with sour sausages. Another customer agreed out loud when we complained. But we were not offered an alternative or an apology. The bedroom stank of cooking oil in the morning, a very unpleasant smell. The shower had mouldy mis-matched tiles. The girls who worked there, did their best with obviously no support and were pleasant. DO NOT STAY HERE. The owners have no interest in keeping their house or business in good repair. 

Appalling, vile B&B

Great spot and only a few minutes walk to Eyre Square. Handy for Bus/Train Station. 
Great breakfast both cooked and continental. 
Room and beds comfortable. 
Room for parking at the property, so perfect for venture into the city. 



Handy

We stayed here for one night. Nearly booked two but was glad I hadn't. 
Pluses for this place are 
Good offroad parking, very close to town,  breakfast was great.
Negatives, unfortunately, outweighed the positives. 
Lumpy bed with substandard mattress,  the hot tap in the bathroom didn't work and the cold was missing its top. The toilet was very reluctant to flush and the carpet in the ensuite had certainly seen better days.The dormer window had been broken at some stage and had been sellotaped together. The wardrobe doorknob came off in my hand, the light beside my bed had broken and was hanging by its cord. 
This place has an amazing potential but, unfortunately,  it is not up to an acceptable standard now.

Needs serious refurbishing

This B&B is perfect. Myself and my friend stayed there as we were working in Galway for 2 days.The host was really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. It's only a 5 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the city. We would stay there again no problem.

Perfect place to stay

The house is located on the main road entering Galway from the east, parking for 4/5 cars. Our room is on the top floor, clean enough despite the carpet in the bathroom. Suddenly, however, we notice how cold the bathroom is: the velux is slightly open and cannot be closed, and the heater is off. I tried to ask the owner who tells me that she does not have any other rooms available (although the vacancies sign is on).

Improved

Myself and 3 friends stayed here in a quadruple room on the top floor. The room was freezing cold which we raised with management twice but to no avail  We were told the heating was on a timer but there was a noticeable difference between our room and the corridor outside. We were forced to sleep in coats to stay warm. Upon checkout, I again brought this issue to attention. However management were not available to discuss. Would not recommend

This “B&B” is no better than my stingy shed it deserves to be shut down got terrible service from the blonde one, not a fan. -12 out of 10. You would think she was a dote but she is in fact incredibly deceiving. I would never step foot back and would ward off anyone even THINKIng of attending. Do NOT DO IT for YOUR OWN GOOD!!
