Anchor Lodge Guesthouse

This is a lovey guest house within walking distance of the centre of Galway. We flew to Shannon airport and got on the bus just outside X51 which takes you to the bus station in Galway. Anchor Lodge is a five minute walk up the road. You are made to feel very welcome on arrival and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and they insisted on cleaning and giving us new towels each day even though we said we didn't need them. We were three adults and stayed in room 1 at the front which was a decent size with lots of wardrobe space. The owner found us two sets of keys so we didn't always need to return all together but she did say that we could just knock on their window (next to the front door) at any time and she would come and let us in. A real character and you really felt as though you were part of the family. Breakfast was good each morning with a good selection of fruit, cereals and anything cooked. Would definitely recommend.
