Margaret was wonderful! Nothing is too much trouble for her and she was very helpful in giving directions etc. We arrived far too early to check in, but as our room was ready this was no problem for her. Had a great friendly chit-chat over breakfast, made by Margaret. You can almost taste that the food is made with love! Our room was clean and comfortable. Galway centre is a fair, but pleasant walk along the coastal promenade, as is Salthill. Nice, quiet area - I would certainly recommend.

I just finished my stay at Lawndale. Margaret the host is so warm, friendly and welcoming. The room is clean, spotless. Very comfy bed. The shower is powerful with lovely hot water. Excellent WiFi. I would give this place a big thumbs up. I had a lovely stay. 

The room was very comfortable and clean, made up fresh everyday- we had a beautiful view of the bay- centrally located between Salthill and downtown Galway- nice walk to shops, very close to beach (right out front) quiet, peaceful location. Tour buses will pick you up right at the end of the block- very convenient! The owner Margaret is so nice and helpful with tips of what to see, and phoning for reservations. Her dining room is elegant- she and Georgina put on a delicious breakfast. I will definitely come back to visit with my husband.

During our hiking trip in Ireland, we had a good stay at this B&b, good breakfast and were very well received. There is a free parking in front of the house and free wifi and well. The street is very quiet ( we like to have windows open) Thank you!  

Spent five nights there. Margaret was very warm and helpful. We appreciate talking to her during the nice breakfasts. The rooms are clean and the house looks like a traditional b & b. The suburb is quiet. 
It is quite far from the city center (25-30 min by foot or 10-15 min by bus, nearest stop 7 minutes walk, correct) if you have heavy luggages or in a hurry beacause of a coach to take. If not you can enjoy the coastal walk ! Good address !

Very nice landlady; walking distance - about 15min -  to Galway city, also possible to walk along the bay. Good breakfast. Parking without problems.

Because we were travelling with 2 big suitcases we had been looking specifically for bigger rooms and had decided for Lawndale because the room was described on booking.com as being 19sqm. In the end the room was only a disappointing 9sqm with a tiny bathroom. Cash payment only.
