B&B The Silver Eel

The location is great with views of lake and countryside. The room was comfortable with a large balcony. Large bar and restaurant with great food, also plenty of free parking. Jackie and all her staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked for one night but stayed for two.

Last minute book, for wedding anniversary, room is so comfortable and spotless clean, I work in hospitality and I'm fussy, can not fault the place staff arw so friendly and helpful food is amazing  although could not finish it, definitely a place to come back to

Perfect location. Fabulous staff. Fantastic food. Laid back friendly host Jackie made us very welcome. Our third time visiting and counting. Highly recommend this accommodation for a relaxing holiday. Views of the lake are beautiful with the boats coming and going.

Just back from three wonderfully relaxing days at the Silver Eel…. I almost don’t want to review this special place lest too many find out about this well hidden secret! The Rooms are huge, as are the beds. en-suite perfect with white fluffy towels. If you need anything… just ask …. The owners just want you to be happy and nothing is s problem. The sea food offerings on the menu are wonderful and there is an diverse range of choice. The view is fabulous but it’s the quiet serenity of being at the lakes edge that works the magic of this place.  Thank you so much Jackie and Colm….. hope to see you soon. 

I stayed in the silver Eel in Roscommon overnight. The room was outstanding. Far better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the quality was sublime! 
The staff in the bar were unbelievably friendly and efficient and the ladies serving breakfast were so friendly, nothing was a problem. I'm kind of hesitant to recommend as if it gets too busy I might not get a booking on my next visit! 🤣
Can't wait to go back. Well done Silver Eel!! 10 out of 10.

We stayed the night at the Silver Eel, the people were friendly, the room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the included breakfast in the morning was delicious
Went for a lovely walk by the lake in the morning

Don't pass without calling in for food. Top quality food. Lovely staff and service. Great pint. Cosy bar. If the weather is good sit out and take in the view. Clean and tidy. Ideal for large and small groups. 5 🌟 

We were to attend a conference in this area and required accommodation. We did not know the area at all but the Silver Eel offered a good deal and seemed to be well thought of. We were not disappointed-we had an excellent stay-the location was lovely-beside a lake in rolling countryside. We had a great room facing the water-spacious comfortable and clean. We decided to eat in the restaurant on both nights-there is  a chef in at weekends and they offer a great menu with good wine and drink selection. Apart from the above high recommendations, the main selling point of the Silver Eel is the staff -Jackie and her family ( it is family run) are so friendly-nothing is any trouble to them, there is an aura of calm about the service and the place. Prices are very reasonable for what was offered and we will certainly be back. Jim and Geraldine

We came here for a family christening. The choice on the menu was great, lots of variety for everyone. The food was very tasty. Staff were very attentive & friendly. We were in function room upstairs overlooking the lake the views were so nice even on a dull day.

Christening party!

Stayed for one night during a business trip to Carrick on Shannon and was very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner.
Nothing was too much trouble and any issues got fixed straight away.
I advice to ask for an additional blanket when travelling during the winter months as the bedding was too light and the cold woke me numerous times during the night. I am certain, this would have been fixed apart from me only noticing at 11pm.
Would encourage some cosmetic work in the rooms. Breakfast was ok; views from balcony - and indeed anywhere - fantastic.
