aTh is a lovely quaint house. Very homely. Chris is a lovely host. The house is well kept with beautiful gardens. There are 4 guest bedrooms, all enough-suite so it is perfect for a group travelling. The house is in the village itself so you're able to walk to the local pubs, shops and Church. The bedrooms are lovely with spectacular views of the Slieve Bloom mountains. Your own transport is advisable. Would highly recommend this guesthouse and great value for money.

We stayed in Ardmore Country House for two nights, for a wedding. Chris was so lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious and the room was cosy and comfortable. We would definitely stay again if returning to the lovely little town of Kinnity. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I’ve just returned home after a 2 night stay here. A beautiful disabled access ground floor room. The en-suite was a wet room which was very useful. The room itself was very spacious & the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Double aspect windows meant the room was bright. Christina was a fabulous host, very welcoming with so much local knowledge; she also made a delicious breakfast. If you’re looking for a 4* experience in Kinnitty then this is the place to stay. Fantastic one night stay at Christina's B&B in the lively town of Kinnitty. Christina kindly had our room ready for us early as we were travelling to a match and would miss check-in. The room was comfortable, spacious and had all necessary amenities including a local guide. She provided us with info on where to eat and visit (Giltraps pub is a must) and we had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend for visitors to Tullamore as it is a short 25 min drive from the town and very good value.

We stayed here for a family wedding back in August and have been meaning to write a review ever since! The house is beautiful, sitting in the village centre and opposite what must be one of the best pubs in Ireland. The rooms are clean and charming and the whole place has an old worldly, romantic feel. Christina is a fabulous host. She made us very welcome in her home and she cooks an incredible breakfast! We had an amazing stay with Christina. Her place is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly cozy. Her service was outstanding, as she always made sure we were completely comfortable and didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend her place when visiting Ireland. I stayed only for one night but it was such a lovely place. My room was comfy, clean and pretty. Bathroom was super clean and the water pressure in the shower was really good.
I was received with tea and scones, and the next day I had a full Irish breakfast at the time it was convenient for me before leaving. Chris was a wonderful and kind host.
The house is on a main road just some meters away from the 2 Pubs in the town, a small café and a small store. Very easy to reach by foot if you arrive with the Bus from Portlaoise or even with car. 25 minutes walking from door to door from Kinnitty Castle.
I would stay there again!

We had an amazing stay at Ardmore Country House. It's a beautiful period house and Chris has done a great job restoring it. After a day hiking the Slieve Blooms we had a great night out in the pub which is just 2 mins walk away. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast the next morning with a gluten free option. I will definitely be back to try out some mountain biking or road cycling as this accommodation is so centrally located, clean and really comfortable after a long day in the mountains.

My fiancé and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay here. Chris was a wonderful host who spoiled us with a delicious full Irish breakfast and couldn't have been more helpful in every regard. She even allowed me to use her kitchen for an online work conference call! We both loved the decor and energy of the house and slept very well both nights. We would both highly recommend Ardmore House and we look forward to returning here in the near future. 

This is a very clean, nice B&B. Its location to the slieve Bloom mountains and kinnitty castle is perfect. I was there mountain biking. The rental bikes are on site at this B&B. The Pikeman brewery is practically across the road. Cafe is located just down from the brewery. With another pub in the village that serves pizza. Kinnitty castle is located just down the road @ the trailhead. The castle welcomes mountain bikers and hikers for lunch. The host Chis is a great cook, her scones and breakfast are the best! I can’t wait to go back next summer. So if your looking for some genuine Irish hospitality, stay @ the Ardmore country house.

Genuine Irish hospitality

I can't recommend Ardmore Country House  highly enough. I stayed there last weekend with a group of friends. It is a beautiful period residence decorated with exquosite antique furniture and artwork. The bedrooms are also tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The ensuite bathrooms are spotlessly clean and the extensive gardens are full of lavender and roses. Delicious home cooked breakfasts are served in the charming period dining room. The location is ideal for exploring the Slieve Blooms' hiking and mountain biking trails. It's a short walk to the village of Kinnity where you can enjoy  delicious craft beers in the Slieve Blooms brewery bar and tasty pizzas in Giltraps. Chris is an incredible host; she's great craic, an accomplished cook and goes to great lengths to make your stay a unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be back!
