Stayed at the hotel in January of this year. 
Very good stay, breakfast was good and dinner was very good 5/5 service from all hotel staff. 
Would come back and stay, had a drink in the bar and then headed in dungloe town. Comfortable beds and good shower pressure.

Great location! Look this hotel was just lovely. Fabulous views from the bar and dining areas. Staff were just lovely. The room was excellent, very well appointed and beds extremely comfortable. I would absolutely return and would highly recommend it. Thanks to all the staff.

Just home from a lovely few days in the beautiful town of Dungloe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms which are newly decorated and the the most amazing views over the Atlantic.

The Glenveagh Castle & Gardens is a beautiful place to visit, lovely walk along the lake to the castle. If you're feeling up to it a hike up Mount Errigal will reward you with the most stunning views, truly exceptional. A lot has been done to make the hike as easy as possible and the day we visited families young and old were enjoying the walk.

Liked everything about hotel, especially the staff they were lovely.

Staff very friendly , nothing to much trouble for any of them would stay there again with no hesitation.

The staff was very, very good.  We had a late check-in and the receptionist called us while still in transit and asked if we wanted the Dining Room to stay open.  At our early AM check-out, it was before breakfast was open.  They opened early for us for a continental breakfast and then served eggs, sausages, etc.  In this era, INCREDIBLE service.  We highly recommend the Waterfront!!!

Tight parking spaces.  Scenic, when the tide is in.

Very enjoyable overnight stay. Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Good food.

The staff- bar, chefs, reception and cleaners offer high levels of customer service. However the property is in need of refurbishment. The reception area is not welcoming with out-dated furnishings and more like a walk through corridor. Equally the bar seating and tables have seen better days. The bar needs to have more ambience and celebrate those fab views in order to complement the amazing food served in the evening. Maybe a visit by management to a recently opened establishment in Dungloe would be informative for interior design in order to justify the high room rates.

It's a beautiful sea front hotel, with lovely views from the Breakfast Room/ Bar.

The beds, pillows and linen are second to none and so very very comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean and very bright.

But the best thing really is the staff I really can't thank them enough for their friendly welcome.
From receptionists who were lovely  Miraid, Marina, and Martina along with the barman who filled our flask with hot water, supplied tea bags, milk and biscuits, to take with us to the stunning nearby beach at Burton Port to watch the beautiful sunset. 
A big thanks to the gentleman who helped us with our luggage.
They also had live entertainment in the bar unfortunately we had plans to visit family in Bunbeg, but it did sound good, I'll make sure we stay next time.

The breakfast waitress and Chief were also so kind, friendly and welcoming, even though we we arrived at breakfast just 10mins before it finished !
And to top it all Colm went out of his way to bring my daughter 'turf/peat' to bring home for her fire pit, we love the sweet smell of Donegal brings back lovely memories.

Oh and if you are passing through Derrybeg/Bunbeg you have to visit 'The Bakery' a first class Breakfast Brunch/Lunch and home made cakes to die for delicious.

A Friendly Welcome Waterfront Hotel Donegal

We stayed 2 nights in the Waterfront hotel and really didn't want to leave ! It's been years since we last visited the former Ostann na Rosann. And whao were we overwhelmed.Firstly there is such a warm engaging atmosphere amongst all the staff regardless of role or position.Sadly many hotels are unable to offer this .The team was headed by the super efficient Martina who was really helpful on menu choices, table options and could easily explain the origin of many of the food products on offer ..

And into the food - it was exceptional.We dined two nights and enjoyed fabulous seafood in both nights .The crabs claws .mussels and oysters were beyond our expectations and could rival any of Belfast's finest restaurants.Equally my husband had the burger as it looked so good from one of our neighbouring diners .And again it was exceptional

So we leave now having thoroughly enjoyed our two night break and are planning our return

Fabulous waterfront hotel 

Had a lovely stay, all the basics were great,  good bed, hot water, nice breakfast (lovely porridge), lovely bar food menu and good value.  The staff were friendly and welcoming.  Would definately visit again. Just 2 small things, in the Suite, i forgot body lotion and you would expect some extras in the Suite like lotion, biscuits, coffee machine, the bath towels were small (thought there was a bathrobe), the bathroom shelf was so high I never noticed it until I went looking for a shower cap. There were no instructions or guide for the hotel, I did not know how the phone worked and I needed to know the breakfast times. The step in the room was also tricky. Loved the Easter decor and the lovely art works. Thank you

Will make a retun visit lovely hotel

13 of us where here for a meal. Getting elderly family together (maybe for the last time due to where everyone stays). So a very important gathering for us.
It was busy …no empty tables.
But this did not affect the service. Staff were very attentive and prompt with their service.
Food was lovely! Everyone enjoyed their choice of meal!
A very warm and friendly atmosphere.
And the view from the front of the hotel was stunning.
This is definitely the hotel you want to visit!

You need to visit this Hotel!!!

Visited the Sunday carvery with my 3 year old grandson. First and foremost the food was delicious a 4 course meal including a very well cooked carvery for less than. 30 euros with no charge for the little one. The dining room is spacious and well appointed, plenty of car parking but what made the afternoon special apart from the food was the very helpful and attentive staff. 

Hot starter followed by a cold buffet, hot carvery main and finishing with a wonderful dessert buffet which included a chocolate fountain. Help yourself to tea and coffee and drinks available to buy from a well stocked bar. 

I cannot praise the experience more highly

Fantastic service great value for money

My Mum, Dad, sister, brother-in-law and I stayed in the Waterfront Hotel in Dungloe for a week at the end of July. We have stayed many times before and it feels just like coming home. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They are all excellent at their jobs, always showing an interest in their guests and ensuring that everything is just right. Martina and Christopher deserve special mention. 
The rooms are small but well appointed. The lounge is very comfortable with couches aplenty and is a lovely place to sit relax, and look at the stunning views over the water. 
The bar and restaurant serve an excellent variety of locally caught seafood as well as many other foods-choices for everyone. 
I would recommend this Hotel for a relaxing, enjoyable break. There is lots to do in the area and the scenery is stunning.

Excellent Hotel

Lovely time, staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Really nice food . The room was very nice and very well finished and had everything you could need. The only two things was the lady on reception at check out on Monday morning wasn’t as pleasant or friendly as the other members of staff. Also the outside of the hotel lets its down, its a hidden gem inside but you would drive past it . We would stay here again if in the area
