The Sweeney

We arrived early (10am) and our room wasn’t going to be ready until after 2pm - which we anticipated- so the reception worker held our bags for us and called me when our room was ready. We spent a few hours exploring the temple bar area, grabbed breakfast at the Merchants Arch and then walked to the Wax Museum. Once our room was ready we received a call and walked back to the Sweeney to check in and the receptionist had already taken our bags to our room for us.Our room itself was quaint but plenty of room for myself and my wife. There was a full size bed as well as a double bed that we basically used for luggage. The entire room was very clean and it seems the rooms have been updated. We had a room overlooking Dame Street but had no issues with noise at night or in the busy afternoon. We quickly found that it is within walking distance to most attractions and have already decided we will stay here again in the future! Things to know: The door to the Sweeney is to the right of the shop doors on Dame Street.The buzzer to get into the building is the intercom button with the speaker NOT the doorbell button that is next to it.There is a bus stop directly in front of the entrance so there always seems to be people huddled near the door while they wait.
