Our host was friendly and helpful, and we liked the easy parking at the B&B. Our two rooms were very clean and met our needs. Breakfast was tasty and there were several options from which to choose. Fortunately there is a small pub with good food that’s about a 15-min countryside walk from the property; otherwise you will need to drive to a restaurant.

Stay here for a gorgeous view of Ireland's south coast. Request a room with a view. The owner is gracious and makes a wonderful breakfast. Go for the Fiddler's Fest in Baltimore and bio-luminescent kayaking. A real sweet spot!

Marvelous Sea view , nice spacy room twin beds , coffee tea etc in the room. Good complete breakfest with eggs included. We liked Everything

The breakfast was very nice. Very nice views. Free parking.We booked a 'double room, 1 double bed' and were given 2 single beds. The room was VERY cold as the heating was only on very low. The bathroom was even colder as there was no heating at all. There were electric blankets on the beds which helped a little but we didn't sleep very well. The room was rather dated and could do with being modernised. The soundproofing isn't great.  The water in our jug in our room didn't look very clean.Whilst the house is essentially only a 20 minute walk to Baltimore, the walk is very dangerous so we had to drive.  We couldn't get a taxi for less than 20 Euro and there didn't appear to be any public transport. This obviously limited what we could do in the evening, without having to drive.

Beautiful view. Comfortable, spacious rooms  and fabulous host. Loved the warm and happy breakfasts with lots of options to choose from. There’s also nice pub/ restaurant next door . Although December is not a good season to visit Baltimore yet we loved our walks and relaxed in the sun. If you visit Baltimore you must stay at Rathmore House. 

A comfortable country stay

The home is modern and lovely and the rooms are spacious. I wish we had a room with the front view because it is EXCEPTIONAL!!!! But we didn’t. There are electric blankets for heat and the shower ran hot but the bathroom was FREEZING and the heat was NA in the room as well. I couldn’t get the blanket turned off in the middle of the night so it was a slow roast until morning and the pillows are flat as pancakes. The bed could use an extra layer of softness as our hips and shoulders were all numb by morning. But the morning brought a delightful surprise when we came down for breakfast. The food was the BEST we’d ever had in any BNB. And when we walked out the front door the view took our breath away. I have to say our hostess was lovely and she really does a marvelous job of making sure everything is clean and tidy and welcoming. She is a fantastic cook and very efficient. She runs a tip top house! Just make sure you ask for the rooms with the front view!!

Don’t skip breakfast!!!!

Marguerite is an absolutely lovely host and her place is amazing. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody in the area, and I wish we could of stayed longer.First Marguerite is so friendly and accommodating. We arrived right at the end of check in (2000/8pm) due to taking country roads instead of the main ones on accident. I messaged her and she immediately responded saying it was not a problem. She gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. We've been traveling for 6 months straight and never felt more at home than at this B&B.The room is incredibly comfy, the beds have heated blankets which is lovely during the winter night. The place was nicely decorated and everything was clean. It was also very nice having an ensuite restroom. She provided towels, standard Toiletries, water, tea and coffee. Also, the seaview is an amazing add on. It was so lovely waking up and seeing the water, grazing cattle, and the natural greenery.Breakfast was outstanding, especially since its included free of charge. Everything was tasty and well cooked. I had sausages, eggs, bacon and various breads (most of which were homemade). My partner had the full Irish Breakfast, which was also delicious. There are also many other options, but definitely recommend these choices.If youre looking for a true B&B experience this is the place. Everything was perfect and  if were ever back in the area this will be the first place we return to.

Brilliant host and a very spacious room for the price. The facilities are modern and tasteful for a lovely country home. I would definitely recommend Rathmore House to anyone, my partner and I had a lovely stay and we just wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely Fantastic

The property is lovely and has a wonderful view of the bay.  It sits up on a hill so getting to it is very steep!  The host was wonderful and the room was bright and comfortable with a nice bathroom.  We left before breakfast so I can't comment on it.

Very welcoming and friendly host. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful views from the house, great location. Close to Baltimore. Would recommend to anybody going to the area.
