It was such an enjoyable stay there. It felt so homey, the room, very clean with excellent facilities. The breakfast is excellent. But what made it all is Marion and her husband Moris. It is warmly reccomend. Thank you so much, Amos & Rona Edelstein (Israel)🙏🤗💜

We were welcomed with a huge smile & instantly felt comfortable. We had the family suite & it was spotless & so comfortable. Fresh cold bottled water was an added bonus.  Breakfast was fabulous. Easy access to Galway centre.  Easy to recommend & can’t wait to return.

We met Mariam during a challenging set of circumstances as the room had been overbooked. However she managed to find the last minute guests another booking at her own expense. This demonstrates the commitment to hospitality that she and Maurice have to their guesthouse. Our family of 3 loved the family suite of 2 rooms . The rooms were spacious and spotless as was the entire home. We took the bus into the downtown area of Galway and the bus stop was a short distance away. Our breakfast was fantastic and especially appreciated by our son who had just joined us. We enjoyed the conversation with Mariam about family life and found her and Maurice to be warm and engaging hosts.

We booked a one night stay on our way to Tipperary, we were met by Marion and Maurice on arrival, after much chat and laughter, we were shown to room 3, decor perfect, absolutely spotless.  Superb breakfast before we continued on our journey.  On our return journey rang to see if we could stay again,  got another equally beautiful room (Room 2).  Chose a different breakfast from the varied menu and loved it. Amazing brown bread, addictive.  Said "Goodbye" for the second time and headed into Galway for a canal walk.  As it was a beautiful day, on impulse, called to ask if we could stay one more night, were very lucky to get another room, so stayed in Room 4 this time!  This is without doubt the best B & B you could find in Galway, and if you do not enjoy it there is something very wrong with you!!  Finally dragged ourselves away, but will definitely stay here again, and again.   Oh, bus stop to Eyre Square is right outside their door so perfect location.  
I could not recommend Seamist enough,  we became "Boomerangs" - we kept coming back!!  Book now!!

My wife and I had never been to ireland but we decided to plan our own trip relying on opinions of other travelers. The Sea Mist had rave reviews most of which commented on the graciousness  of owners Marion and Maurice. I am here to tell you that the reviews don't begin to express what wonderful people these are. They absolutely made our trip to Galway and Ireland  an unforgettable experience. They both were born in raised in this city and their pride shines through. Marion took the time to take us on a tour of her town and dropped us off near the Latin Quarter which is a great area where the people watching, food and drink is top notch. Thanks to Marion and Maurice, Galway was the highlight of our trip to the Emerald Isle!

We arrived a little early but they could not be more accommodating. Mariann was brilliant. Showing us places to go printed directions with what bus to get with her mobile should we get lost. 
Could not fault this place at all. Super friendly great room. Fab food xx. Could not ask for a better stay on our journey around Ireland xx

I stayed here last Saturday and Marian could not have been more lovely or helpful. The room was spotless and had gorgeous decor and a bed that is more comfortable than any hotel I have ever stayed in. In the morning we were heading off to Connemara and then on to Kerry.. so we were very thankful for the great feed we got in the morning - Fresh fruit, juice and perfectly cooked full Irish with the best quality sausages. Everything about our stay was perfect but the thing that really stood out to me was Marion herself. She is sunshine in the form of a human and was so friendly, helpful and genuinely just a lovely woman. I have stayed in many hotels (as a hotel manager myself) and I would stay the level of service, attentiveness and warmth we received was far beyond any 5 star hotel I have stayed in across the globe. If you are going to Galway, Sea Mist is a must as meeting this lovely Galway lady could only enhance your experience with a true Irish welcome! Thank you again.

This is the best.  Not only are the hosts fantastic, but the rooms were spacious and comfortable and breakfast was to die for.  Marion and Marcus gave us great pointers on things to do, pubs and good food.  Another plus is the bus stops right in front and you can leave your vehicle and go anywhere.  We stayed 2 nights.  Would have stayed more but had other adventures.  You will not regret a stay here

My husband, daughter (24) and I spent two nights at the Sea Mist this August.  I was a bit worried that we weren’t right in the city, but it worked out perfectly!  There is a bus stop within yards of the place, and the buses in Ireland are REALLY clean and nice!  Took us right into the city at Eyre Square.  We are from the U.S. and even though we’d been driving in Ireland for a few days, we were thrilled not to have to drive in Galway.  

We had the “family” rooms which was one room with a large double and another room with a double and single.  We also had our own private bathroom which was a good size, tho the shower was a bit tight (but good water pressure).  The three rooms were separated from the rest of the BnB with a door.  Kind of our own wing.  

Breakfast was delicious!  Marion’s scone have been raved about, and I just want to agree with just how good they were!  They offered the full Irish breakfast, or scrambled eggs and French toast.   Even with the Covid restrictions we were not put out in any way or were worried about it.  The BnB was very clean and charming.  

Marion and her husband we great hosts!  One of the best things they did (as compared to the other BnB’s we stayed at on our trip) was have local information printed out for us.  Everything from transportation, to restaurant recommendations to sights to see in the area.  My family really appreciated the information and extra effort they went to to help us get familiar with Galway.  There was tea and coffee available in the rooms (and some Biscoff cookies!!), free WiFi and t.v.s.

We had originally booked through a hotel website but when we had to change our dates, I was able to get the room we wanted by booking direct.  Be sure to check their website for best available options.  

Our family loved the Sea Mist and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Marion is an exceptional host. We felt welcome from the first moment. She is attentive, funny and kind hearted; genuinely a great person. The breakfasts were the best we had in the two weeks we were in Ireland. The homemade scones were the best! The house was spotlessly clean. Amenities all quality. The bed was comfortable. The bus into the town center is mere steps from the front door. Highly recommend.

Excellent

Just stayed with Marion for two nights while visiting Galway.  Her home was easy to locate, and had convenient parking.  Our room was spotless and spacious, the food was delicious, and the wifi worked great, but the best part about Sea Mist is Marion.  She is so friendly and greagrious.  She answers questions, offers suggestions, and helps you map out places to visit.  As we left Galway, she suggested we visit Kylemore Abbey, and was so right.
We miss her already and will be sure to return.....

A wonderful B&B in Galway

I made a complete mistake and booked this B&B for a busy sat night in July. I only realised I had made a mistake when I turned up to guesthouse many miles away convinced I had booked it, but to find they had never heard of me. When I discovered my mistake I contacted Marion the owner who was exceptional and offered to refund half the cost of my stay. It was too late at that point to sell on the room. Not inly that but she offered to give me another night for free at her B&B at another time. I really appreciated her kindness and found her an absolute pleasure to deal with. Decent human beings like Marion are to be applauded.
