Great little place in a great spot for concerts at slane castle. Hosts did a great job and were very welcoming. Beds were nice and comfy. Could do with some shampoo and conditioner in the showers but very little complaint as shops were nearby.

Great stay for Slane

Here is a bank statement to prove we stayed here last year and also prove that we payed the full amount even though it was not the agreed price. 

The second picture also shows how these people tried to take payments six times a year later. 

Thankfully the bank got suspicious of these attempts and contacted us straight away. 

Please be aware and do not give your payment details to these people!


Lies !!!

Stayed here last year, the place was absolutely disgusting, filthy dirty. Didn't bother going down for breakfast because of the horrible smell as you come in the front door. While we were out someone was in our room because when we. She back our stuff was moved but room hadn't been cleaned. We agreed a price and paid by cash when leaving and a few days later they took payment from our card again and refused to return it when we rang them as they said that wasn't the price agreed. One year on and we get a call from our bank saying there has been a few attempts to take money from our card for large amounts from this b&b. The bank got suspicious and stoped the payments.

Be warned

Got greeted at the door by a very pleasant lady.  Room was clean and very spacious. Needed directions to some places and was helped by Tom. 
Lovely breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. Very relaxed and peaceful. 
Will be coming back.  Loved the donkeys!

Long weekend away.

I was one of a party of three guys. We rang up to book a room with three beds. We were told that wouldn't be an issue. When we arrived, we were faced with a room with a double bed and a single bed. So Mary said we could have a spare room at the same cost (45e per night). On the day of booking out, we were charged 55e per night for the extra room. I wasn't there so couldn't argue the point but my mate meekly accepted it. 
When I was leaving, I was going to pay for my share of a shared room. Marys husband was rather put out by this. As if he had never come across this before. He made all types of faces and noises as it really upset he's little world view lol
The breakfast was pretty flimsy as b&b breakfasts go. No black or white pudding, very small sausages and the tinniest bits of tomato you will ever see. 
In summary, give this place a wide berth if you want a. a good hearthy breakfast b. People with manners who will engage you with professionalism.

Nothing spectacular

We were able to accommodate 5 family members on a short notice. Mary was waiting and welcoming us upon our arrival. The rooms and individual bathrooms were clean. They had wifi and cable television. The Irish breakfast was plentiful and satisfying for a full day outing. We highly recommend! 

Clean and quiet

Mrs Clarke was kind enough to pick me up in Kells at 11:00 p.m. when I had no reservation. The service was good, the breakfasts were delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mrs Clarke was very kind during my stay. This is an address I recommend and if I return to Ireland I will return.
