I went there for breakfast with my boyfriend and everything was perfect: food very fresh, high quality and very delicious! My boyfriend asks for a french breakfast, which was super yummy + chocolatine very delicious. And for me the staff was kind enough to serve me delicious muesli with apples and soy milk on the side (not on the menu). Coffee was great and the atmosphere peqceful and friendly! Highly recommend to go there for breakfast, brunch pr lunch! Also huge choice of healthy juice, a must try ;))

I loved my Bungalow and Mandala bali bungalows, i didn't want to leave... 
so beautiful and so very quiet.
staff were so lovely and very helpful...
very simple but just awesome...
i definitely want to go back...

Best raw and veggie restaurant in Bukit!

Beautiful 

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights at the start of our Bali trip, when we arrived we were greeted and shown to our room. We booked the Chandra 2 bed villa because it was cheaper than booking the 1 bed villa and it was nice, however one bedroom was upstairs and has a view over Bali (although it's hardly sea view as advertised) and the other room is downstairs with no view, and tiny compared. We later found out that all of the villas are owned by different people, so when it says no pool, it means no pool and you'll be asked to get out if you go in when you've not booked that villa. The 'resort' itself is quite run down and could do with some love. There is a HUGE hill that you have to walk up to get to most of the villas and a second and third steep set of steps to get to the villas with pools. The 'smoothie shop' is great though, food is reasonably priced, we ate a smoothie bowl every morning and were happy each time. We also rented a scooter and 2 helmets for the 5 days, which was 50,000idr / £3 per day, which is the cheapest we've had scooter hire during our whole trip. The location is okay, everywhere is easily accessible on the scooter, but if we were to return we would stay nearer to the beach. We'd recommend getting a scooter as it is much easier because there are no taxis and you can't really walk anywhere. We did enjoy our stay, the villa was clean and cleaned everyday, however I don't think we would return.

Tactical positioning for site photos 

Me and my mum found this place online last minute so we had not read any reviews before arriving. We stayed in the twin villa with the pool up the top of the hill. Pretty cool villa and was nice to have a pool to ourselves. Only problem was the hotel failed to tell us that there was a whole lot of construction going on right behind us. So we had a group of Javanese men peering into our pool the whole time. Zero privacy. Big mistake renting out these rooms full price with that going on. We were disappointed as we came to Bali to have a relaxing time. The villas were okay, very cute, but not worth $130AUD a night. It took 10 minutes just to climb the hill to get to them. Not good for anyone with any physical health issues. The cafe' was wonderful. Great food and great staff. The manager of the grounds was very lovely and understanding of our issues and kindly refunded us our other two nights. I personally would not stay here. Try and get something closer to the beach. Its worth the trouble!!

Had potential, but please don't stay here!

Absolutely disappointing! First of all we are not the type of people who complain about every little problem but this time we need to give our honest opinion about Mandala Bungalows to inform others before they book here. First of all, we booked seven nights- only because we got offered a good deal, but on arriving we were completely confused about this booking. 1) One review says quiet and tranquil but in actual fact the resort sits on a very noisy and busy road where cars and motorbikes pass often - even all through the night. The resort is also in a residential area and therefore there are motorbikes driving up and around the resort sometimes right past the bungalow and random time in the night. Sometimes even at 3 or 4 in the morning. We had lots of trouble sleeping. 2) When we arrived at the resort we were shown to our room at a fast pace and then without an explanation or overview of the resort everyone disappeared and were not to be found (office time was suddenly changed from 8pm to 7pm as we arrived). So basically we were not aware they had no restaurant in the evening, how we should obtain hot water for our baby boy or where we could go and eat that evening. 3) Half of the lights we not on throughout the resort as we were the only guests, so maybe they didn’t bother. We found the premises dangerous at night especially if you have a baby and when it rains everything is very steep and slippery. We nearly fell over with our baby a few times and we mentioned before that we were coming with a baby boy and felt they should have informed us of the condition the resort was in and they should have said: not a good place to come with baby instead of offering a discount to attract us no matter what...4) Wifi was very weak and inconsistent and even in the common area. 5) Mosquitos!!! Stagnant water all over allowing mosquitos to breed and we were unable to sit in the common area at night for long periods as we were attacked from all angles. Two night stuck under mosquito nets in the room were our only option. 6) The so called beautiful garden was in a run down state. 7) The kitchen was filthy. Mouldy fungus on the fridges and the food was terrible. Nothing was fresh and we were given smoothies that tasted like water, bread that seemed to be 2 or 3 months old….One breakfast, my bread was like a rock and when I searched for someone to receive a new piece of bread, there was no one to be found. 8) Staff were not very helpful and not always there. In addition our baby boy got sick and we choose to leave after two nights as it was not a safe place with a baby. We asked kindly for a refund because of our sick baby but they would not even blink an eye. Not worth the price. There are many better places in that area. Horrible experience there.....Terrible host and a badly run resort.
