I got a 10 nights stay in Arsa HomeStay from my gorgeous friends, as a Christmas present. After Kuta Beach intense energy, and a few days dengue symptoms, I immediately fell in love with this beautiful homestay.

I had a lovely, romantic room with bathroom (daily cleaning service included).

The room comes with breakfast, which you got served on your terrace. 
The garden is breathtaking, the staff is really helpful. The location is great - although it is next to the main road, it is quiet, and in 10 minutes you can get to the center.

I found peace here, and was really hard to leave.

It really feels like home!

A nice clean 3 room homestay (one a/c room) conveniently located just off Hanoman Street in the center of Ubud opposite the exceptional Kafe restaurant. The rooms in the family compound are tradionally built and furnished, with modern bathrooms. There are no frills as you would expect, but the wifi is quite good. The owner (Bagus) offers a taxi service to his guests 
We recommend this homestay for an inexpensive stay in the center of Ubud.

Small, clean, convenient

This place was fantastic.  Run by two brothers and their family, I had a large, super clean private room in their complex where they lived.  In Bali, often families live in a walled complex (I think they called them "compounds") and each family has their own small house and there is also a little temple.  The gardens,, temple, and attitude of the owners created a real serenity and great vibe to the place.

The breakfast was great including a nice healthy smoothie brought to your private porch. 

Their email communication was great, they offered a competitively priced private airport pickup service which I used as I landed at 1am.  It was so nice to have him waiting at the airport with a sign with my name on it, and took me straight to the home stay, let me in the room directly, and let me deal with checking in the next morning.  Too easy!

I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay!

Clean and quiet place with a good location, we've paid $15AU a night with decent breakfast included (quality varied through the days) but mostly well presented, we've rented a scooter for $5AU a day. Host are not the friendliest but definitely worth checking out on a limited budget.

Clean and quiet, good location

Arsa is in the heart of Ubud but fairly quiet. The few rooms are clean and spacious, although the bathroom could use a little update. There are some ants in the room at times but nothing to be bothered about. However, for similar prices, many other guesthouses also offer breakfast, while here it's an additional 20 rupee and not particularly attractive. But what bother me the most was the host, Bagus: he would have a fairly annoyed look on his face every time I chose not to book touristic services (car services, tours, etc.) through him or with him. And he was never as cheap or as flexible. Finally, on the third day there, for no apparent reason my room did not get done, my hot water for the tea did not get replaced nor my cup or my tea-bags. And on the day I was supposed to leave, my room got readied for the new guests while I still had my bag in it, before check-out time.  I was upset to say the least. So long for Balinese hospitality! The place is nice and quiet but not the oasis of peace and inclusion that I hoped for.

Cute, clean homestay but didn't like the host and no breakfast

I spent three nights at the Aras Homestay and can only recommend it further! The family is very kind and helpful! The rooms are clean and cleaned every day! In addition, transfers to and from the airport are offered.
