Villa Ibu Rama Ubud

At Villa Ibu the charm of Bali enfolds you as soon as you step over the threshhold, its like stepping into an alternative universe. During our stay we became part of the Villa Ibu family and lost all sense of time passing, twelve days felt like two months of sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation. The two young teenagers extended their explorations from the warung opposite to wandering down to the village, the neighbours greeting them with their warm smiles and the kids trying out their spattering of Indonesian. We were spoilt by Nyoman and Gede and nothing was too much trouble. The girls adored getting lifts with Gede on his scooter down into Ubud, such a thrill, especially in the pouring rain, sorry Gede! Wayan is a supreme organiser and with great sang froid smilingly dealt with any of our requests. We will be making an annual pilgrimage to this heavenly place to reconnect with lovely friends, I feel very blessed to have had such a beautiful experience. P.s. I loved sinking into a lovely bath of steaming hot water and walking the path through the sawah towards Ubud.
