Budget place to stay. Rooms clean. Nice location with huge garden. Rooms start at IDR 200.000. Staffel helpful an OK english speaking. Can rent motorbikes from staff. Good thing, as Tomohon area is widespread an sights are not close to each other. Happy Flower is definitely recommended!

For its price (starts at 200.000 Rp) it's a good deal. Clean room, nice bed and beautiful garden. The breakfast is very basic (only white bread with jam and chocolate sprinkles) but when we asked for an egg, they readily boiled and fried us one. Also a big plus, breakfast starts at 5am so allows you to eat before volcano trekking.
Staff doesn't speak English, so for information about the area/activities, I suggest you head to Mountainview resort. Owner is German and can help you out with literally everything.

Clean, good value

Nice calm place

We stayed in a superior room for 3 nights.

The positives: Lovely garden filled with the sounds of birds and frogs. The room was cleaned every day, and we had access to a large communal living area with comfortable seating - this was a nice alternative to having to sit in a small and dark room during periods of heavy rain. The staff were friendly and the manager helped us to organise a walk up Gunung Lokon. The resort is in a lovely residential street which felt like a lovely and close  community and very safe, but it's a little out of town so having a motorbike was handy.

The negatives - Didn't seem like good value for money, though at half the price we paid, the standard rooms are probably better value. The wifi worked intermittently, and the hot water ran out very quickly. The bathrooms were old and flooded with every shower, and they could do with a renovation, and although the rooms and communal areas were cleaned daily, it seemed like they could do with a more thorough clean that a wipe down and dust - spotted some mould spores on the walls of the bedroom. There were a lot of power outages, which obviously isn't the fault of the resort, but it happened so frequently that it would be handy to have candles and torches ready in the room for when this happened - no one ever checked up on us when there was a power outage and we ended up having to venture out to buy some candles and torches ourselves. Most of the staff have pretty limited English, which is fine, it's more our fault for not knowing much Bahasa, but be prepared to make your own plans and arrangements to travel around the area, they don't seem that well set up to provide advice and services to tourists.  Also be prepared to wake up at 5am everyday from the local radio station blasting music down the road, again not the resort's fault but it's a daily thing and goes for a good half hour.

A lot of potential

It's a good place to stay, just basic, and an unfortunately poor breakfast of toast and jam, but nice people (though very limited English) and a peaceful location. It's easy and cheap to get transport into the main hub of Tomohon. However, if you need advice or information about the area, don't try getting it here as they don't seem to know much!

Good place

Nice garden and friendly staff. There were just a few tourists (in tomohon) and so the town is not so touristic. We would stay here or in volcano ressort right beneath again. But the location is not the best and the breakfast not even basic: toast not even with an egg..
