78 reviewsBooked this hotel last minute due to a change in our travel plans. The owners could not have been more helpful. We arrived late but having let the owners know in advance this wasn’t an issue and the son was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us to our room. Seeing we were tired after a long day of travel he said no need to complete check in at that point, we could sort it on the morning. Room was huge and exactly what we needed, lovely outdoor shower and bathtub. After a good nights sleep we woke up to see the beautiful surroundings and made our way to have breakfast which consisted of tea or coffee, fruit smoothies and choice of eggs and toast. We were joined by the resident dogs who were just lovely and enjoyed a bit of fuss but didn’t bother us in the slightest. We wanted to stay longer and explore but we had a boat to catch and the son took us down, stopped so we could get cash and drove us straight to the ticket office so as not to get hassled by ticket touts. He explained that they were still having issues with rebuilding the resort post earthquake and couldn’t apologise enough but this was not a problem and I just hope they can get it sorted soon. Thanks for all your help, if we’re in the area again we will stop by for longer.
