26 reviewsWe had a dreamy stay at Batu Ampar with our family. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Awesome outdoor area outside our room. Beautiful swimming pool. Loved the dedication to sustainability. The staff were all very attentive. Gatot (Owner/ Manager) was helpful organising our activities and transport. We ate all our meals at the restaurant. Great authentic food and selection on the menu. The area itself is quite remote, in a small village. You can explore a few things by foot, walking past a small farm, some crops being grown, seeing the salt farm, and visiting the natural hot springs. The location is very close to where you catch the boats to visit Menjagan Island for snorkeling. We saw 5 turtles on our snorkeling trip and felt very privileged to swim with these majestic creatures. The drive itself from Kuta across the hills in Bali was also an experience, getting to see the lakes and the different climate at high altitude.
