Ayu Guna Resort

I find it quite amusing that some people have mentioned it being expensive!!!! Quite the opposite. I stayed in a double room with a friend and between us, we paid £7 each a night. Can't really complain. The rooms are basic. Bathrooms aren't that clean and could be improved massively, but there is a toilet, a sink, a shower, a bed, air conditioning (which was really good), wardrobes and your own patio with drying rack etc. Quite substantial for £7. In my opinion, if spending a while in the uluwatu area, this kind of base is perfect. 2 clean (and big) pool areas, tables and chairs by both - we had our own music and food and staff never had a problem. The restaurant is great. Cheap food (pancakes for 20,000, about £1.20 and delicious!), fab nasi goreng and loads of options. Restaurant staff sweet and helpful. We woke up, ate breakfast, and then left the hotel for the day to explore. Location wise this place is great. Near good restaurants (mango tree/bukit) and 10 minutes either way to different beaches and single fin. Ask reception to organise moped or go down to the LDS hotel 50m from hotel. I don't like staying in dirty minging places, but I really didn't have a problem with this place. In total we spent 9 nights. Could have stayed longer!
