I stayed in the hotel from the 28th Dec till the 31st Dec in the single room, if I am not mistaken, room 308. And here are my reviews. Location : The location of the hotel is not really central in the city centre. But it is located somehow central to 3 most popular attractions in the city. It is located within walking distance to Museum Adityawarman, Padang Beach and Siti Nurbaya Bridge. The area is also full of cheap eateries and affordable motorcycle rentals. When I arrived in Padang Station, I booked a GoJek motor ride to the hostel. it is easy and can be seen from the main road. Reception : The lady that was doing my checking in is very calm and soft spoken. She helped me thru all the check in process smoothly and asked another guest who is trying to cut my line to be patient. She handled the ruthless customer nicely. She is not just helpful, she smiles a lot and offered me all her help on discovering Padang. The evening came when I realised I am in need of my shirts ironed and groomed for Saturday. So I asked the reception if I can borrow an iron. She stunned me with her kindness and offered to iron all my shirts and shorts for free (they are available the next morning). The second reception lady that I know of is the lady which is thin and has a very snail-tie hair. She also smiled a lot and she suggested me where to get my Iced Milo around 12.30am. Haha. Room : I booked a budget room for single stay. I got exactly what I paid for. It is simple, one bed, small floor, small table and ceiling fan. It is comfortable and provided me with excellent night sleep. Actually the empty space inside the room is large enough for someone or 2 person to sleep on the floor, so thats how big it is. Bathroom : It is a shared bathroom. The bathroom is very clean and spacious. Only the water pressure is a bit of a problem. But the cleanliness of the bathroom is top notch. The cleaners working in the hostel are also often seen near my floor where the bathroom is, I guess that what makes the bathroom spotless. Hospitality and Service : The receptions hospitality and service cant be doubted even for a second. They love their jobs and they appreciate every single suggestions and comments given. They interact with customers eagerly and magnificently gave everyone a very good service. Praise to them. When I lodged a complaint that I have not received a towel, the receptionists and the owner of the hotel responded to me apologetically and swiftly. Well, a towel arrived after 2 mins, maybe they forgot to put it when they are cleaning the place. Totally forgivable human mistake. Breakfast : Breakfast is served in the lobby right in front of the reception. The area is windy and cozy. the food variety is excellent for a hotel of its size. The free flow juice and cereal are amazing. And the fried rice taste good as well. I am so full during my 3 days stay there. The reception, waiter and owner are all in the reception lounge serving hard to make the customers happy. Excellent combos. My only complaint is, the area is open for smokers. I had to go out a couple of times to avoid smokers pumping the smoke next to my table. And I am quite afraid to ask them to put away their cigarettes. I sincerely said this to the owner, please consider making the breakfast area (although it is an open air area) to be smoke free. Ask smokers to walk to the outside gate. Facility : This is a basic hotel with just about right facilities. I do not see any elevator so I would not recommend this hotel for disable or someone who has knee problem. Security : It is a secured hotel with a reception working 24 hours. On Sunday night 30th of Dec when I came in late around 2am from Bukit Tinggi, the reception is closed, all dark and the gate is closed. I had to ring the bell several times. No one answered. I was helped by the owner of the shop in front. Again, the reception is very apologetic about that. I wish you might change to security system to tap card. I know there are no people checking in. But you should consider leaving the gate open just a bit. Satisfaction : I am really satisfied with my stay here. The room, the bathroom, breakfast, staff and owners are amazing. Recommendations : Nothing. I will totally suggest this hotel for other travellers. You have to stay here and experience their kind hospitality. Give it a go. You wont be disappointed. If I ever go to Padang again, I will definitely stay here again.
