Tetebatu Mountain Resort

Once arrived at the resort, we got a very warm welcome by Riki and his younger brother Binot. After we dropped our bags into our room and went back for a drink, Riki came to have a chat with us; what a nice, and especially positive guy. He gave us such a great feeling that we haven’t seen before in Indonesia. Riki told us he and Binot could take us along to show us some local things around Ruteng. We were very interesting and the price was not bad at all. Because of them, we had some chats and got in contact with local people who were doing their daily handcrafting. Such a lovely day! Once we got back, Riki offered us a tour around the village for the day after. This would be a visit to the local market, a small walk in his rice fields where we would have a cooking class with his family with the product we would buy on the market. Of course we accepted, cause we felt this would be another wonderful day. And guess what; it WAS such a lovely, tasteful and heartwarming experience. They’re always in for a good chat, laugh, game and they’re there when you need anything. The food is great (please try the pizza, it was the best we ever-ever had), the rooms are clean, shower is warm, the pool is filled with spring water (very refreshing). But the best part of all is the feeling you’ll get from these guys. We still enjoy the moments when we’re talking about our days there. So please, of you consider going to south of the Rinjani and be with the locals, go to the Mountain resort in Tetebatu to meet these guys. Let them show you the area. I’m sure you won’t regret it!
