Malang

Nice and quiet place.They did not clean the room each day, you have to ask them to do that. The kitchen is OK, but the freezer does not work well.

We stay here for a week and we not enjoy at all, because air conditioning in our room is not working, we already complain the problem to manager and staff more than 2 times, but they still not give us apologize or solved the problem at all. We hope you will develop the service in future. Thank you

Air conditioning not working

Our group stayed in this property for two nights. For me personally I had an enjoyable stay. The room was just nice and clean, enough to suit those who just want to look for some rest. The only feedback I would put forward here is perhaps the management would consider to upgrade the size of towels provided for the guests. :-)

Nice and clean

I was so regret that we were staying here only for 1 night, this guesthouse is very clean, not too much, all the beds are good, plus with the swimming pool. Lots of sofas, that we can serve our friends or family coming here, located in a center of a busy Malang.
It was a very nice stay here! Oh also they have a salon and spa there, ladies, worth to try ;-)

A Very Nice Stay

This was our first time staying with an Airy Room. What it means it’s a room inside another hotel/Guesthouse/resort. This was inside the Lovender Guesthouse. 
We checked in at 04:30am and they allowed it for an additional fee of 50,000R which we thought was reasonable. 
The room had 2 twin beds and a large washroom with walk in shower area. 
The lighting wasn’t able to be turned off in certain areas (in the “closet” area and the one in the shower). The key card that goes into the wall didn’t actually provide power so removing it didn’t turn off lights or AC. 
The AC was decent for the room. Kept us cool. 
Airy provides a box of snacks- couple chocolate wafers, cracker chips and chocolate bar (all local ones). In the washroom Airy provides bath gel, shampoo and comb with spare tooth brushes and paste in a blue toiletry bag. Couple small bottles of water as well. 
We were in #10 which is right near the employee area so when they walked through the saloon style flippy doors it squeaked every time and when they would smoke, the smoke smell entered our room. 
The door itself couldn’t really close unless you locked it with the bolt using the key both from the inside and the outside when you left. 

The area had a pool in the middle which looked nice (we didn’t have time to use it though). Breakfast was made to order from a non existent menu and poor English so fried egg with toast was doable. The coffee was thick but the tea with condensed milk was ok. 

The location is almost in a quiet neighborhood across from a school. 
We were able to walk to a money exchange, restaurants and minimart in about 5-10mins. It took about 10mins from the Malang train station and about 2km to the Rainbow Village.  
It wasn’t a busy Guesthouse so it was relatively quiet. 
For what we paid, it was a decent stay. 

Quiet area, close to things

I found this guesthouse when i search for something different than hotel in zen.

On their guest's reviewed, i already impress and curious more, so booked 1 twin bed room for 2 nights on a long weekend.

Arriving at the guesthouse, it's already at night, around 08.00 pm. It's not too hard to find but we were not sure in the beginning, because the area is in the middle of residence area.

We're welcome by receptionist and he's showing our room (room no 6). There's 24 hours staff available. The living room is homey and beautiful (with colorful window glasses)

With Javanese style, the room is quite good and clean. Although the bed not so big (around 90 cm - 1 m) and the AC installed beside the bed, the air straight to the bed when we turned it on, it also a little noisy, the bathroom door with big mirror outside faced the bed, so we opened the bathroom door when we sleep, to avoid being taken a back when wake up.

The facility is standard, there are towels, toothbrush, soap. There's no hairdryer and shampoo. Tv only have local channels.

Breakfast was so so, local food served, coffee and tea.

If you happen just to relax, you can enjoy their little pool in the middle of the back area.

Hommy guest house with a small pool in the center of corridors. Good place to see around Malang.

We stayed four nights in this hotel, clean and nice room, a good starting point for visiting the Bromo, prefer tours organized by the city tourism office to tours offered by the hotel (much more expensive).

Good quality price ratio

The place was hard to find because of the name of the street,lamongan.Most people think it's near the street with city name,but actually it's near the mountain name. So if you have to tell the driver,just let them know that it's gunung lamongan street. The place was very charming and comfortable and had alll the important things that star hotel needed.its had clean room with ensuite,tv,slippers,towels and soap. It's provided you with free water and small size swimming pool in the middle of all the rooms. It's also provided buffet breakfast,which we didn't try because we hadn't to go to bromo. They also provided bromo tour.one of the midnight receptionist,also a tour leader. He was very helpful. Surround area has couple of restaurant within walking distance, I will recommended the Flamboyant restaurant,it's clean and also provided one the best fresh milk and yoghurt. The owner was very friendly and the food was clean and yummy. It's Indonesian food. If you want to venture a bit,around 15 minutes walk,there was big sport stadium and big shopping centre. Overall it was good place to stay in Malang.

Small but great

This guesthouse that looks more like a hotel is great! The neighborhood is really nice with nice small restaurants around. For an honest price, you can have a room with TV, air conditioning and bathroom. There is also a swimming pool. Not to mention that the staff is really at the top, we took a ride to get to Mount Bromo and Banyuwangi we really had a great time!!! We recommend without hesitation!!!!!
