My mother and I were travelling through Makassar and stayed at Demelia Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel had just opened and was very clean, modern and luxurious - Upon arrival, we were offered welcome drinks and shown to our rooms. The staff were very nice and communicated in both Indonesian and English. The rooms were very comfortable with excellent bedding and clean bathrooms. Wifi and restaurant were excellent ! LOCATION : The location is great as it was close to the Pannakukang Mall and easy to meet friends and family as they could comfortably meet us in the large lobby area, or pick us up from the large front entrance area. You can also order taxi's from front desk. STAFF : I felt really welcome at this hotel especially because I was unwell during my travels and they easily accomodated me and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. With breakfast I had special requests such as extra hot waters and soup for my medication and they happily delivered these for me. Their extra care really made us feel welcome ! DINING : The hotel has a restaurant on one of the top floors. It was really convenient for when we didn't eat out as it was so close. Western and Indonesian meals were both excellent, staff in restaurant very friendly too. The Breakfast included in our room was nice and they delivered it as room service for us each morning. You can choose Indonesian or western option for this. Overall, I would definetly reccomend this hotel for travellers in Makassar! It is very comfortable and luxurios for the affordable price you pay. Location is great and they helped us to organise our taxi to the airport when we left :)
