Mainski Resort

We stayed at Mainski for 5 nights while travelling between Bali mainland and Lombok. Sandy the owner is a generous women who cannot help you to enjoy your stay more.She helped us with transfers and ferry tickets plus giving advice only a local could give. Rooms are more than adequate considering price,but be aware, no hot running water in bathrooms.No biggy as the climate is warm,but a hot shower is a hot shower.LOL. The staff are friendly and speak reasonable english,always quick with a smile or a joke. Lacerations and Shipwrecks surf breaks are at your door(approx 800 metre paddle out or catch a ride with a local fisherman out for approx $3.00 AUD).Playgrounds surf break(better for kids and inexpierienced) is approx 1 km up the beach(get a ride with a local out)but can be filled with alot of learner surfers so be careful of lost boards and people not knowing surf ettiquette. Chennigans is another great point break about 20-30 minutes ride away.Big,heavy left hand point break with a jumping platform. We were lucky enough to have 2 talented Javanese boys play guitars at the beach bar for 3 of the 5 nights there-they were brilliant!Made the evening Bintangs taste better!
