Soundwaves Beach Bungalows

I read that the place have quite a few bad reviews, but we didnt read them prior to check in, so we experienced the place with an open mind. First; The place have new owners, 2 very nice Turkish brothers now run the place since may or june 2017. I am very confident they will bring the place higher scores by hard work. It definetly seems like they are very serious and dedicated to the place. Second; we paid very little for our 2 bungalows, and we have been travelling a lot in South East Asia. You cant expect luxury for this amount of money. What You get is a very basic, but clean accomodation, you get friendly hosts that really care, AC units that works fine, and a comfortable bed. All units also have a sitting area outside, with chairs and table. The location is in a back garden from the main street, and the beach is just on the other side of the street, 20 meters away. The garden looks like it have been recently replanted, and will look very nice in the future. Also very little noise from the street. Sleep quality was actually very good. If you are looking for negative things you will of course find them. The mosque is nearby, and the minaret there will maybe wake you up at 5AM, but then you will go back to sleep again. The shower only had cold water, but hey, it's the Gilis, the water is not really that cold, and you will need a cold shower anyway. We dont spend our vacations focusing on such minor things, not on an island like this. We absolutely recommend the place, give it a chance and give it a nice review :-)
