Looking for a simple local experience? This is the place. The room is very simple but lovely. Don't expect some luxury, but beautiful simplicity. My room was spacious with a hanging bar to hang the clothes, big king bed and little shelves. The bathroom was in the backyard, an open bathroom so I enjoyed the shower everyday in the morning and evening. The water pressure was quite good. Breakfast is basic but delicious. I had to clean the utensils and mugs every morning though. Breakfast is served at the private seating area of the room where are two armchairs and a hammock. Internet connection was pretty good compared to what available on the island. **Very important piece of info: the house is located off the main street - like 5 minutes walk - which was a bless as it was quiet. My friends stayed at a hotel on the main road and couldn't sleep once until 3 am because of noisy bars. If I ever return to Gili Trawangan, I'd consider staying at Happy House again.
