My 2nd stay here. Post earthquake and now post covid. They've been through a lot. Lovely place but many signs of lack of money. Some aircons not working, main fridge in the kitchen/dining area not working. Another fridge in one room missing. Water in one room worked when it felt like it. Staff did a wonderful job trying to run between the other property they managed and fixed or moved us to rooms that worked. Pool is really nice. We did have a great time. I just hope they get a cash flow to make this place as good as it used to be.

So, first solo adventure.  Caught a boat from Lombok to Gili Trawangan.  Be warned, people will try and sell a one way journey for $50AU.  I got one way trip to Gili Trawangan for $14AU.  Whilst I was there I bought a ticket from Gili Air back to Lombok harbour and then onto the Airport for $25AU.  Journey time from Lombok harbour (the one next to Gili islands - 1.5hrs).

Gili Exotic villas is located about 200 metres from where the boat drops you off.  You cross the main high street. at this point, where all the bars, dive centres, restaurants and shops are located.

On arrival greeted by very friendly staff and get welcome drink.  Small pool in main area and you can order your breakfast for the following day.  Only five villas in this complex.  My villas was clean, large and had aircon and a room safe.

Recommended for solo or couples.  You cannot hear the nightlife from the villas.  However, I’m a light sleeper and always bring ear plugs and you can heart the prayers from the mosque load speaker at 0500hrs, which is located nearby.    

Great location for access to Main Street where everything is going on.  I visited in low season and it still busy.



Great location, excellent staff

We had a nice time at the Gili exotic villas. It’s a small resort about a 10 min walk from the pier. It has 5 units. The staff Is kind and friendly. They also have a nice pool for those hot afternoons. The rooms are cute. Be aware that the bathroom is partially open to the outside.
Everything was very clean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable for us, as we like them firm. They had great pillows and bedding. Breakfast was included, and made per order, but very small portions. No water available on site (just 2 bottles per day) The hotel has WiFi, but the connection is not great in the room. Best connection was by the pool. There is local food, and laundry just outside the resort. It was overall a nice stay.

Quiet little Resort

Everything good, nice room, good location, friendly staff. The breakfast was not very good & furnished but still ok. The only bad thing was the pray call at 4.00am from next Mosq so don’t expect to have a good sleep. 

Very nice & cute

Wonderful huge open air shower in a massive bathroom. I even had my very our Bali hut outside of my room (No 5). Ari and Andy treated me like royalty and the owner Anga (not sure of the spelling) was equally hospitable. It was a pure pleasure staying with them in this amazing hotel. The pool gets a lot of sun and is a perfect design. Water temperature, perfect. I will be staying here again next time I visit even if the mosque is going off at all hours during Ramadan. It adds the charm. Thanks guys for a fantastic time  and making me feel so welcome. Oh amazing breakfast choice also.

The best boutique hotel on Gili T by far.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Staff members are very helpful. The pool area is a great place to cool down after a hot day on the beach. Breakfast was delicious, and the Lombok coffee is highly recommended.

Beautiful rooms and great staff

We were originally booked to stay at 'Bagaz Cottage' hotel, but when we were met from the boat we were told we had been upgraded to Gili Exotic Villas (due to staff shortages). The hotel was beautiful, it wasn't too far from the shops/bars etc and once we had rented a bike, we were allowed to keep the bike just outside the hotel in the small courtyard area that they have.

Our room was lovely, a comfy double bed, mini bar and lovely bathroom that is part inside/part outside. There is a safe in the room and good air conditioning. There was also a little outside area that was part of our room, with seats and had a roof over it.

You book your breakfast the night before and can choose from loads of different things, the noodles are lovely! It is cooked fresh in front of you when you arrive, you choose what time you want it the night before.

I can't remember the names of the 2 men that were working there when we were there but both were really friendly and helpful. One of them told us all about the island and recommended a snorkelling trip to go in, and that was so fun and I'm so glad he told us about it!

The hotel was quiet and clean but you should be aware that the hotel is near a mosque and you will be woken up by 4am prayer! It wasn't a problem at all, just a shock!

If I am going to be perfectly honest, on our last night, we came back quite late (& drunk), jumped in the pool then overslept and missed the breakfast we had pre-booked. We woke up in a panic to rush to the ferry back to Bali. We had obviously left some of our items lying around the pool and we found them folded up neatly near the pool and the staff greeted us warmly and said not to panic or say sorry and that they would make our breakfast when we were ready, as we were rushing off to get a boat, the put our breakfast in a lunchbox and drinks in plastic cups so we could take it all on the ferry. They could have been so annoyed at us but they just weren't and still made us feel so welcome. 

We had such a good stay at this hotel and I would urge everyone to stay here! Its an amazing place and the staff just absolutely made it perfect for us. I am so so so glad we got upgraded to this place!

AMAZING hotel and really friendly staff!

Really enjoyed out stay, awesome customer service. Rooms good and clean. Close to the centre but far enough away to not be chased down by horses. Nice pool, with an awesome living area to relax. 

We will be back!!

Hello, I try to contact the hotel ,i have cancelled it because of the earthquake i the Gili island and I never reveceived my money back...i'm.sorry for that but at least they should have offered us an alternative somewhere else! This is not acceptable. I want my money back!

It's a budget mini hotel, only four rooms, there's a swimming pool, good breakfast with natural juices, the rooms are a little dark, there's little light, it's in the middle of the island, not far from the harbor, there's a refrigerator in the rooms.
