Oceane Paradise Bungalow

We went to Gili for diving and decided to choose one of the cheaper options, so we just ended up here. I think Alexyane Paradise Bungalows was more than what you actually paid for - we spent 11 days for next to nothing. I see some of the other reviews complaining about the fact that it didn't have any warm water, but I think they need to be reminded where they are in the world. :) I didn't really miss it at all. The rooms were nicer than anticipated, big enough for the two of us and cleaned as often as we wished. They had the cosy bungalow-feeling I wanted, dark woodworks and the open bathroom solution - there is something really cool about sun and palmtrees in the bathroom! Also no bugs at all in there to my big surprise and joy. Also the AC saved us from the warmest days. The rooms is close to the city centre but its not going to keep you awake.The thing thats going to keep you awake are the mosques (you can hear the prayers all over the island) but again, remember where you are. But one of the best things about Alexyane was the man that took care of us the entire stay. Everyday he would come with fresh lombok coffee and homemade delicious (!) banana pancakes to eat on our porch. He was always around if we had any questions or requests, and was such a nice humble man with a big smile. I think the bungalows are perfect for young people thats not dependent on warm water and other luxuries like that. We had a great time there!
