My husband and I did a walk around the island and came across this little place for a rest. Perfect location right on the beach and free fast wifi. The menu is quite cheap, we ordered the rice paper rolls and the cheese burger- very fresh and tasty!

Well... I loved my 'Sweet Bungalow' No 9. Aircon was cold, shower was hot, not pristine clean but I couldnt care less...because I felt right at home. Made and the other staff are AMAZING, absolutely nothing was too much trouble (I want to adopt them take them home). The pool was clean and warm, the bar (and good sized beautiful cocktails) was delivered too. The ocean entry is right here and the reef and dropoff is 100m out. Saw a turtle and swam with it for ages. A deli on one corner for cheaper bintangs etc. Seaside warungs all around until theirs is rebuilt (should be finished this week). Yes, I am going to miss it...and I will be back ❤

Wayan the manager is very nice and helpful. The restaurant was broken by a sea storm last year, but lots of restaurants nearby so not a problem

Gusung Indah is well located (25 min walk from Harbour and near a lot of good restaurants and dive shops). The quality/price ratio is quite good. The AC works well, the pool is nice and the breakfast (we only had banana pancakes) is good. The Bungalows are a little bit dark and we had some trouble with water pressure, but other then that everything is fine! We will be able to rent snorkel or book boat tickets with the staff :).

Our host was really attentive and helped us book a snorkeling trip and a fast boat back to Bali. The location was close to many bars and restaurants and the view of the ocean was spot on. We spent a lot of time on one of the little palapas over looking the sea. The room was basic and the AC worked. We didn't eat at the on site restaurant.

Nice place, good value

We stayed in a room with aircon (not a bungalow) and it cost 175k per night (this is MUCH cheaper than anywhere else we found)

- The air con worked fine (when there was electricity)

- the bed was broken (we changed room because of one broken bed but this one was also broken and there were no other rooms available)

- the shower was hot (unexpected) but also salt water (very unexpected!)

- the pool is also salt water (not a problem, just be aware)

- the room and bathroom were not clean, nor did they clean them in the 8 days we were there. We had to go to reception every time we needed a new roll of toilet paper. 

- the property is quite sandy, so our porch ended up quite sandy too. This meant we brought sand into our room, because nobody ever sweeped our porch. 

- breakfast was included, but make sure you check everything before you eat it!! They served us sliced bananas with black mould, pancakes with weevils cooked in, and fried eggs with worms. In the end we decided the safest option was boiled eggs - no bugs!

- they only take cash (important to know on an island where there are limited ATMs, all of which caused our banks to block our cards!)

Room ok, breakfast had bugs

The food is terrible and the staff are argumentative! Partners steak couldn't even be chewed or cut, and was served with 5 chips (I kid you not) I ordered a vegetarian meal, as a lifelong vegetarian there is no way I ordered a beef meal which was served, but the staff just argued with us that I had ordered a beef burrito, and that I must have made a mistake as i was with my 'crazy' son. No apologie and was still made to pay for the bad meals/meals we didn't order. My son had pasta and the sauce tasted like pure ketchup! I can defiantly see why they are struggling for business with food and staff like this. A real shame as its in a lovely location. Would not recommend or return to again.
