We have corporate group for 2 nights from 19th-21st December..This hotel was outstanding..home away from home..in terms of every where from room service to House Keeping-F&B..All the staff are well behave,cooperative,restless on their service..Rooms are well furnished clean & hygienic,well maintained swimming pool was big enough for 80 pax,lash green lawn big enough for any outdoor gaming activities or event,3 equipped Banquet hall ensure your conference grand success,poll party with music add on service...

If any one plan for corporate trip with 3* hotel close your eyes & just go ahead with Girish & get unthinkable service you never get before..

It has been a wonderful experience with the rooms being absolutely clean and courteous staff. Please don,t pay heed to the Old fashioned name - Girish Resort. they have arranged for a great room with a swimming pool view and the ground near the pool is a perfect space to walk and relax through the green grass. just step out of the gate and you will get the view of Ganga and sound of  splashing waters on the roadside. In all, a great place to rejuvenate weekends and get rid of work toxins.

Lovely hotel, great staff & enjoyed the swimming pool.Good for corporates as well. the reception is available throughout for any inconvenience they are just a call away. All over I strongly recommend this hotel for weekend travellers & corporate meetings

I had been to Hotel Girish in the weekend of 22 / 23 September 2018 with my family and friends. This hotel at Diamond Harbour is perhaps not much known due to its location being a little away from the Ganges (maximum 3 - 4 minutes of walk), though the river can be viewed from the top floor of the hotel. However, our experience of the hotel was mostly good - tasty food, good rooms, courteous staff, park for kids, neat and clean swimming pool and so on. I would definitely recommend this place to people in groups so that they can enjoy themselves indoors or outdoors. With not much to do around, smaller groups might get bored out, though obviously it depends on the person(s) totally. The only thing that I or rather we did not like is the behaviour of some of the guests in and around the swimming pool who are coming to the hotel. How well dressed people can behave so unruly, uncultured and uneducated by taking drinks while inside the pool without caring for the possibility of water quality deteriorating is something that amazed us. Not to forget many of them did not seem to know the dressing etiquette of a swimming pool also. There were some people who appeared so well dressed inside the pool as if they are going out for an invitation! Management - If you can take a note of the same please, I am sure you will get more popular by the day. Wishing you the best for a prosperous future ahead for the property.

About 50 of our office colleagues were there in this hotel for 3 days offsite meeting. It took two and half hours to reach there from kolkata airport. Hotel is half a km from river Ganges. Food is great rooms are spacious swimming pool is big enough for 20 persons, conference hall well equipped,  above all hotel staff found to be quite professional and well trained. Kudos.

Review of Hotel Girish

Recently we visited Hotel Girish for one night stay . Staffs are good and helpful. Room was not so big according to price but i like interior decoration . It is situated just 4 minutes walking from river side .. and 5 to 6 minutes drive from Diamond Harbour railway station. Hotel Girish needs to improve a lot to be best in this competitive market.
1. There should be a separate besin for handwash in dining area.
2. Bedding was not that much clean and tidy .
3. Wifi speed was quite slow and out of reach from few areas .
4. There was no night decoration of pool. 
Otherwise this hotel is good for one night stay if someone wants to sacrifice direct river view from hotel window. Along with that this hotel is spacious with ample parking slot and rear side children prak with green play ground.

Good but need to improve

This hotel is located near the river front of diamond harbour. Diamond harbour is about 55Km away from kolkata. It takes around 1½ ~ 2 hrs drive to reach this place by road. One can also easily reach by local train. Diamond Harbour railway station is few kilometers away from the hotel.

The hotel is well decorated and has quite a lot of open space. Ample parking space, well furnished rooms, courteous staffs are some of its added advantage. Swimming pool and the grass lawn at the backyard looks beautiful. Executive / deluxe rooms' size seems to be small, toilet is smaller. 

But don't expect any river view from this property. Though there are many govt. as well as private lodges/hotels offering river view from the rooms, this place may disappoint you for that purpose. If u don't mind walking a couple of minutes from the hotel to enjoy the river view, this hotel can be a good place to chill out in the weekends. 

They offer complete package on your stay with buffet menu at a competitive price. Though food quality or variety may be better, given the availability of fresh fish at diamond harbour.

We had a great time at this place with friends & family.

These people are very unprofessional. I have been calling the number (+919593355995), no one answered. I sent a message through their contact form, no reply. I emailed, no reply. At last I called the number (9593401947) which is listed as their Corporate Sales Office. A lady picked up and spoke to me. She was not at all interested in talking and was very difficult to understand. Then we started texting through Whatsapp. She was not giving proper answers to my queries. After several of attempts, I had to say ask that "are you mad?, Why aren't you replying to my messages properly?" Then started her volley of profanity. And what language. It just stunned me. I will share screenshot of some of the conversations.

Very unprofessional people

Service and hospitality are very poor....food are of very poor quality.....there are very few lighting inside the campus..and muds every where in the campus... nothing about sight seen, located in crowded mrkt. Bathroom are in very poor condition
