Having stayed here for 5 nights on a yoga retreat I was very impressed with the space. The rooms were clean & big, with fans & a balcony, mine led straight to the pool. I think most rooms had air conditions too if you need that. The beds were comfortable & large! I had a fridge & plenty of storage space. Nice bathroom too. 

Great rooftop for yoga, we also had delicious food made for us whilst we were here & the service was very good. The manager was very helpful & friendly, I would be happy to stay here again & the fact it had a pool & was so close to the beach was a bonus! Highly recommended for any kind of traveller.

I led a yoga and meditation retreat at Lilypad and would highly recommend it to other teachers.  They cooked us a lovely vegetarian brunch and the space for yoga was perfect.  The rooms were very spacious too and the hotel is in such a nice peaceful location.
I will definitely run another one there.

Loved many things about this resort.
Best hot water, pool, internet, location and cleanliness.
In particular, liked the Manager who was always pleasant, helpful and kind to us when we were in difficulty.
Will be sure to stay in this motel next time in Varkala

The manager Giresh is very helpful, I’ve stayes at the Lilypad resort three years and each time foe a long period, and I have always felt at home. I recommend this place to families and single families both.

After a very long flight we arrived here to find the hotel we had booked was little better than a hovel so we walked around the corner and found the Lilypad. right from walking into the reception they couldn't do enough to help us the staf are amazing and there is always someone to help with anything you need. They found us a beautiful large room overlooking the pool.  We stayed here with family and I have to say it was the best holiday I've ever had. The young man who looked after us was called highness and he was a joy to know nothing was too much trouble for him. I would definately stay here again. I fact we are definitely booking again for next year. Can't wait just the most amazing place to stay.

Lilypad is a good hotel to stay with. Its a new hotel and well maintained. They had more amenities than we expect from hotels of similar category. we have a really pleasant stay. To start with our check in was quick. We were surprised to see the size of rooms. They were really spacious with large beds. The rooms were clean. Rooms had enough storage facility extra cloth hanger very useful to dry your wet clothes after swimming. Toilets were also neat and clean. All rooms have view to swimming pool and ground floor rooms have direct access to pool.

Staff was really friendly and helpful and our special request were taken care of well. They have round the security person as well. They have limited car parking space. But it should be sufficent considering the number of people coming by car. The access road to resort is narrow for about 500 meters from the main road. 

The helipad beach is just 200 meters away from the resort. The beach can accessed by walk through narrrow path, very narrow path along the course. But its super safe even at late night to walk. During our stay were peforming the scheduled maintenance preparing the receive the guests as the season starts in december. There was no televison in the room as part maintenance, and we were not in mood to sit and watch TV. Swimming pool also cleaned everyday morning and water was clean.

We opted with room without breakfast and hence cannot review on the food. There are a lots of restaurants along the cliff side various cusine and some excellent seafood.

Few suggestions would be replace the colored bed spreads with white linen and blankets provided was too thin and was feeling cold even without AC. We really enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

My first trip to India and I was pleasantly surprised on how lovely this small hotel was. Large spacious rooms which are light and airy. The staff work hard at maintaining its beautiful grounds. I stayed here for two weeks, it’s perfect location. The pool is paradise. A few more sun lounges would be ideal.

The room was spacious with a large bed (2x2m), big table, two chairs, a very useful hanger, a wardrobe, make-up table with chair and large mirror, a small refrigerator (did not use it), ceiling fans and air conditioning.

The bed sheets and towels were changed every two days. The trash was taken every day and general cleaning was done.

The bathroom was big with an enormous mirror and lots of space to store cosmetics.

The water is solar heated and enough for a full location.

The electricity is available almost all the time and the large generator kicks in when needed.

The breakfast was fresh and contained local food: fresh pineapple, coconut, jackfruit plus fruit jams, butter, bread, porridge, omelette, fried eggs.

The staff was extremely friendly although only the manager spoke English. Everybody was there for us and most understood a bit of English.

The manager never said no to any of our requests and helped us with booking taxies and directions. It brought us bottled water by its own initiative and at our request.

The pool was a nice bonus. It was cleaned every morning.

At the second floor there is a large space for activities (yoga, meditation, group stuff).

The reception was opened 24/7, there was always somebody around. There is a POS there.

Comfy bed, amazing pool and hot shower were most welcome. The hotel staff were very friendly and offered laundry service. Considering that Varkala can be noisy, it was fairly quiet. We were with a group on a yoga retreat and the hotel accommodated us nicely. The rooftop was a good spot for yoga practice! So if you're looking for a place to take your yoga group I'd consider the Lilypad :) I'd love to go back.

lypad is not only a place to sleep. Here you can find everything that you need. For me is the best place in Varkala. Big room, lovely garden cleaned every and with big swimming pool…. And lovely people that can help and assist you in every moment. Ajin and All Lilypad staff are Kindly and prepared to give everything to you. The Resort is very closed to each services, outside the door you can find everything, food , money exchange, transport…. All in few steps…. If we had met it earlier we would have stayed here a few weeks more. Thanks guy you are great
