A small boutique guest house run by some friends and leading by a French women. Beautiful small place for stay, nice talk and personal care. The boys are running are also Frech and English guides to assist you best for the town. Mr. kuldeep speaks beautifu French, love to talk with him and has great sense of humor. It is on the beach side, beutiful view of sea. Love to go back some time.
The best thing whick I like the service part, they give free Tea/Coffee, you can also take bycycle for city tour free and WiFi is also free, first time I found this in India. I appreciate it the way of promotion tourism in Pondy.

We loved this quiet place tucked away 100m from the sea just North of the French quarter (which is only a 10 min walk away) Only 5 rooms, roof terrace with view and sounds of the sea. Good value breakfast is optional with toast, omlette, fresh fruit salad and toast. There is also a well stocked kitchen which guests can use freely.lf staying in Pondy again or for longer we would definitely come back.Glad we chose this for the first 4 nights of our 10 week Indian holiday.

We were travelling in Pondy during a festival weekend (October 2014), and we got disappointed with the room booked in advance so decided to look for another place to stay. Luckily, a friend of us told us about this place Namaste Pondy and, as a new guest house at that time, it still had a few rooms free. 

The value for money is good, rooms are new and clean. Some beds are these nice high Chettinad style beds so it gives a great feeling. Bathrooms are all pretty large. Only problem in the room we had (1st floor) is that you could hear noise coming from the adjacent room (1 locked door in between, as well as an opening in the upper part of the bathroom). So we felt like lacking of privacy sometimes. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and we had a good time sitting on the rooftop and relaxing there.

The main disadvantage is the location, which is out of the "Ville Blanche". If you rent a scooter to go around, it is completely fine and you can park in the small lane where the house is located. If you are coming back to the guest house walking at night, I would not advise you to stay there as you have to go through a fishermen's neighbourhood and it doesn't feel too safe (especially for girls). Also, there is a church opposite the guest house, which is beautiful and well decorated, but the bells and songs woke us up in the morning.

Good budget Guest House in Pondy - Clean and Helpful Staff!

Best value of your money -Beauiful economic stay...!

Just right

New, beautiful little house with friendly staff. Roof terrace is very pleasant to sit, relax and read a book. The room we had was OK, a bit small with small bed, but clean and spacious bathroom. Recommended if you are looking for cheaper, but clean and pleasant option.
