Kumar's Mountain View Cottage

We had booked homestay in coonoor almost a week in advance .when we reached there the owner refused room stating there was no reservation . We started looking for rooms and the place was almost sold out and after hunting for 4 hours We finally got this place Kumar's cottage. Whatever happens,happens for our own good . The place is beautiful ,clean well maintained and above all hygienic. The staff and the owner were very polite,helping and modest. If you are planning a trip to coonoor please book this place. If I get it right they have 6 rooms and all has star hotel decor.very centrally located and convenient.

I deliberately chose Conoor as my first solo trip destination for it being non commercial and peaceful and booked Kumar’s Mountain View cottage for initial three days with an idea to explore Conoor and decide later about other places to stay but Mr and Mrs. Kumar’s hospitality has won my heart and I decided to stay with them all along .
While Mr Kumar is a very warm person ,Mrs kumar is an excellent cook and looks after customer’s comfort personally . All the meals were delicious and authentic .. I always looked forward to the next meal . My room and washroom were squeaky clean and gave me a very cozy warm feeling .They happily assisted me with airport pick up /drop and sight seeing .
I felt extremely safe and comfortable throughout my stay .
Thank you for everything Mr and Mrs Kumar .

My mother and me stayed for two nights in this wonderful hotel. The rooms were spacious and tidy, the beds were very comfortable. The staff is excellent, they are very helpful and polite. During our stay in this hotel we've visited Dolphins Nose, Lambs rock and Sims Garden. Very nice landmarks. 

The food in this hotel is excellent, compliments for the chef. If you are looking for the perfect hotel in Coonoor, this is it!

Kumar's may be a very basic place to stay, but if you're a large group and can book all or most of the rooms, you'll feel like you're in your own very comfortable home with a wonderful staff taking care of you like you were family. Williams, Angelique and Kumar are always ready to help you with whatever you need. Angelique is a great cook, and nothing can beat the pleasure of sampling her tasty food, made in the kitchen and served straight to you on the terrace. The WiFi is great and will help you stay connected. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The common loving areas are cute and cosy! Where else could you curl up with a blanket and a book on a couch? Strongly recommended if you don't need too many amenities and are a large group that can book the entire place.

Kumar’s cottage offers excellent comfort, it is just walking distance to main attractions and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. This gives a homely feeling, along with Kumar and his family’s visit who are extremely nice and kind people, as well as with long standing experience in the tourist sector. For food you can order whatever you feel like eating and enjoy it on the rooftop terrace:) totally recommended! 

Located just near Sim's Park (perfect location),the hotel is clean and provides great hospitality .The hotels owner Mr&Mrs. kumar is very helpful and will guide you throughout your stay .The staffs were very helpful especially Mr.williams the manager who takes care of the Cottage. The hotel provides you almost every facilities. The rooftop cafeteria of the hotel was great ,when I say food was great (I mean it).The server for breakfeast was amazing!who wouldn't let me get out of my seat for anything!I have literally never spent money on a hotel and said it’s worth it.I will definitely stay here again! I would surely recommend this hotel to everyone I know !):you won't regret,just be there

This Coonoor is one of the best destination for honeymoon, and what better place to stay other than Kumar's mount view cottage.

If I were to keep returning to Coonoor I would keep returning to Kumar’s Mountain View Cottage! 

What an unexpected delight! Warm, friendly with an added personal touch provided by the owners, Mr and Mrs Kumar. They are very hands-on in dealing with their guests and any requirement their guests may have. Their generosity, their friendliness and their helpfulness was unexpected. Nothing is too much trouble to arrange or assist with and the homely and welcoming feeling we met with for our entire stay was such a treat.  

The homestay is conveniently located and within walking distance of the beautiful (and not to be missed) Sims Park just above the town. The rooms are comfortable with ensuite bathrooms and our room had a lovely balcony. Then there is the food – homemade and super delicious. We even requested a vegetarian biriyani which was no trouble for Mrs Kumar to make for us. 

If you are visiting Coonnoor, you would be missing out a great deal by not staying at Kumar’s Mountain View Cottage. This is a unique and special experience.

Homely atmosphere with Delicious food, Excellent  service, Very  Neet and Clean saraundings, Moreover, the Hospitality, I do Appreciate Mr&Mrs Kumar and the  entire Staff. I would say, it was an memorable  days for me. 😍

First Of All Coonoor is a beautiful and Quaint town to visit or spend time in. I was there attending a wedding in the end of December 2019 and what a wonderful experience it was. 

Kumar's Mountain View Cottage was a perfect compliment to the visit, I was staying there with Family and it was a pleasant experience all the way. The host William taking care of us was courteous, Helpful and always eager to be of service. Angelina's cooking was super and the stay was extremely comfortable.

The facilities were clean and well maintained, except for the disturbing odour in the Left Side Bedrooms mostly because of the Bio Gas Pipeline running along the Left Side of the building, I think they need to fix it soonest,

Would certainly recommend the place to friends and family visiting Coonoor
