Hi Green view...

I know its too late to give a feedback for our honeymoon trip because my vacation was too short, so  i was fully engaged with my family.

Any way it was a fantastic and ever memorable trip for us. It was wonderful  stay. good food, nice and clean room feel like our home.. arrangement was very good .You and the rest house  hospitality and professionalism was in top point. Thank you so much for giving us few wonderful memorable days.

I will recommend you to my friends and relatives.

We were total of 4 families, and felt like we were in our relatives house. Great hospitality and food. Joseph Sir in the guest house gave many suggestions on places to visit. Attached photos are some of our memorable places. Thank you team and we shall come again with our bachelor friends :-)

We visited this place by end of May after so much of search for the accommodation. It was really satisfactory to stay at this place and our room had such a scenic view of a complete tea plantations. The room was quite spacious and the staff were very cordial. Particularly the two females in the kitchen where very smiling and gave good service. The breakfast was complementary and we preferred taking have a dinner too over there. The only drawback that we faced was the roads were too narrow to reach this particular resort where we managed with the car. But in case if it would have been a larger vehicle or a van it would have been so tough. Overall the accommodation, food and service was extremely pleasant and great.

Worth for money

GREAT Place to stay during vacation

This place is besides a more famous Guesthouse Called Sun Valley . First of all this is not a Home Stay . Home stay is one where the owners and their  family stay in the property and they share the spare rooms for other visitors. This is a proper guest house in the sense that this property has seven rooms and all are let out . We did see any of the owners family stay there.  This place overlooks a Tea Garden ( Not owned by these people) 

1)	Approach : 
This place is approximately 3.8 kms off the main rad . The Approach is terrible and winds though slums before reaching this place  . Being a City Dweller, I foul the road leading to this place to be  very very Narrow. We had an SUV and whenever a vehicle came in the opposite directions we had to either reverse or move to the edge of the road.  Until the last turn into the road leading to the property, there are no signages pointing out directions. If not for Google maps we would have never found it . 

2)	 Rooms 
The Rooms are clean and tidy and well maintained. The toilets are clean with Western Water Closets and the have anti skid tiles. There is an Electric Geyser in the toilet. No other amenities in the toilet. The Sinks have a mirror on the side and not in the front which makes one wonder why it is there in the first place as it is not very convenient event for a shave. The Room has a fan . I am not sure if they would provide a heater during the colder days as the weather was quite pleasant when we visited in May  2019
We had taken a room with three beds . The Linen and Mattress was clean . The Mattress was comfy .  Exra bed if required is provided at Rs. 500/  bed. 

3)	Food and Hospitality 

The staff are very polite and the Quality of the Food is quite good.  Sadly the good things end there. We were there for two days and on both the days the Same breakfast was served , Idly sambar and Pongal . The Breakfast is free but the Coffee / Tea served with it isn’t . This has to be paid separately . We found this to be a bit strange. 

Secondly if you plan to eat here in the afternoon and in the evening, you have to be very precise as wo what you want to eat and how much you want to eat. It is not enough if you tell them to prepare Dinner for 5 people. We must tell them how many bowls of white rice , how many bowls of sambar, How many bowls of Rasam , How many bowls of biriyani. .etc.  And you are billed on the item and Quantity . This too puts one into a lot of inconvenience. Though there are seven rooms  the dining area has just two tables with four seats each . you may have to wait for your turn to eat. 

There are no places nearby to eat as I said this place is 3.8 Kms off the  main Road. 

Thirdly , if you are a tourist , it is likely that you will start early to cover the tourist spots. In fact the staff there will tell you that in case you would like to cover the sights in Ooty , Then one must start by 8:00 AM. But this place does not provide Breakfast before 9:00 ( 08:45 is the earliest ) . They do not agree to give you anything earlier.  

They will arrange a campfire on the terrace for Rs. 500 Extra

The Wifi is very unreliable and less that 1 mbps bandwidth

Overall this place is a clean budget Guesthouse, giving you just the basics, and nothing else.

Basic Budget Guesthouse

I had been to this rest house (Not a home stay) with my family and friends.
I have average opinion about this property.
Pros: Neat Rooms and hygienic bath rooms . very friendly manager while doing booking for this property.. The manager (Mr Francis)r is always friendly in his talk .
Cons: We were a big team (14 members) and it was a big deal for them . Yet they were not ready to come out of business deal . They say breakfast is complimentary but tea  milk and coffee is not a part of it. I never saw this type of complimentary breakfast anywhere. Even if their complimentary breakfast is defined so they have never mentioned anywhere that tea coffee is not included in it .everything served is limited . Idly served for breakfast was short for two people in our group. Butter milk was only two small bowls (around 250 ml) for 14 people.Food was not tasty and tea coffee never tasted good . One morning we had to leave early for coonoor train so breakfast couldnt be provided . considering a big team , i asked the hotel manager to provide simple rasam /sambar rice in the evening as replacement to breakfast . The manager completely refused it . I dont say that this was wrong but we can notice how the property guys lack courtesy . Cook is available only for limited period and they follow very strict short timings for kitchen and dining hall  which is not expected in leisure trip .All food needs to be ordered well in advance and nothing can be ordered on table .
Overall I dont recommend this home stay . Rather its a rest house and not a homestay as nothing was homely .

They mean pure business

I had been to Green view rest house June 2016 with my family, friends and their family. We found the rooms and washrooms were well maintained and valley view rooms are very attractive. We did utilise free wifi and the complimentary breakfast provided (Coffee/Tea not included) was acceptable but apart from this everything else was a BIG NO NO.
Approach road to the rest house is very small and difficult to access. Coffee/Tea/Milk provided is not good and charged. The staff had a main switch using which they can  turn off the geysers(cheap tricks). We had dinner one of the two nights we stayed and we litreally had to ask for anything needed even when it came to a cup of butter milk and we received negative answers.  
Overall I would not like to visit this place again nor recommend it to anybody. Green view: please improve on food quality, taste and learn the words "Yes we can".
