Our stay at Tranquilandia was much needed, amidst the butterflies, trees and  pool.  Everything in that place makes us feel very close to the purest of soil, air and water. For me it was a place of realisation of how far I have been away from the natural environment. Mr. Shahul is an amazing human, conversing with him feels like reading a book. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Thank You for letting us experience your home Mr.Shahul.

Drove out of city, slightly mountainous area, chirping birds, pleasant stay and drive overall. a friendly pool size for women and kids. Home cooked food with owners being a chef, good dinner too!

On the whole felt like, went to a Friend’s Home with such a nice family owning and maintaining the property 😃

In our busy schedules we should spend a time to come and stay in this place for somedays, then only we will realise what we are missing in our city life. About this place, what to say!!! Everywhere greenery, all are natural. I felt nostalgic smell and that brought me to my childhood days where I used to have all kind of fragrance smell flower plants in my grandma home. 

First of all, we reached there at night till that time Sandrine waited for us and she gave us a warm welcome. She is very polite and calm. 

About the room, it is very clean and neat 

About the natural pool, it was wonderful experience to play with kids more than hours... About sahul, he is superb man who cooked breakfast for us and that too sambar for idly was an authentic South Indian sambar, which is top-notch. 

When he say that Breakfast with birds and butterfly and actually we were with their pets and birds and butterflies. 

On the whole it was an awesome experience ❤️

I was in Agali- Attappady, Kerala, India, from 25 to 29 October 2023, in connection with a research study and stayed at Tranquilandia. I had known earlier the philosophies and thoughts of Sandrines and Shahul in setting up this homestay with the prime principle of staying in nature. Usually, over the years the setting transforms to convenience killing the original ambience. But Tranquilandia has moved closer to nature. From what I saw nine years back, the plants have grown and the place has become cooler. Tranquilandia has flowering plants that repels mosquitos with the fragrance of the flowers that blossom after sunset. No liquor, no smoking, no TV. I could use mobile but. The electric fencing protects you from wild elephants. There is no plantain or coconut trees that would attract the elephants in the six-to-seven-acre land. A tank filled with water is kept away from the cottages for the elephants. I have seen families playing with their children in the swimming pool. No crowding, as there are only four cottages. 
Another attraction is the food prepared by Sandrine and Shahul for those who stay there and for them as well. WoW…Excellent! Vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. I also have seen their two children helping them in the preparations.
I enjoyed the stay. And plan to go back with my family.

The best place to spend with family. Santrene & Shahul was very helpful in our stay. The food served was exceptional. Helped us to plan our onward journey. Planning to have a visit again to enjoy the stay with them. 

As soon as I arrived at Tranquilandia, I felt like I was at a cousin's home.
Sandrine and Shahul's kindness, caring and approach to life, added to that, the very beautiful environment made my stay an unique experience. 
Four lovely bungalows which surround a huge swiming pool in the middle of plenty of trees and plants reflects coziness, love for nature and security.
The cottages are very clean and spacious with a big bathroom. 
Although our lovely hosts stay fifty metres  away from the bungalows, their home is always open to us. The huge hall as well as the big kitchen will always remain in mind for joyful moments spent with Sandrine, Shahul, Kids, other Guests and Pets.
Tranquilandia is situated in the "sky" (hill aea) with extra ordinary landscapes. For those who love to walk, this is an ideal place. During my six days stay, I must have covered almost one hundred kilometres by walk  admiring the beauty of Attapadi.
Sandrine and Shahul are also great Chefs. 
Breakfast (included) and dinner were also memorable moments together.
Please be informed that  smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited. Don't expect television either!

The best stay ever. Felt a real bond with nature and a tranquil environment as they named it. The owners are so much friendly and invited us and treated as a family. Thanks a very ton to Sahul sir and Sandrine.


This homestay holds a special place in my travel experience. Myself and my husband loved the whole trip because of this homestay, very friendly hosts Shahul and Sandrine who treated us like family and not as just guests.When you are in this homestay you can connect, learn and enjoy in nature. The home made food prepared by them with lots of love was so tasty. And to mention, this is a very safe place to stay.

We visited as a family along with our 3 years and 9 months old kids. We were overwhelmed by the way they treated us🥰. Especially, they had taken care of our 9 months old when we had our food which helped us to have our food peacefully 😇 We will never forget Sandrine mam's coffee☕ and Shahul sir's advice on how to bring up our children☺ and special mention Mia and Vidya🥰

And about the place, unlike formal resorts here it gives us a different experience. The experience of living with the nature - Room surrounded with Greenery plants, Colorful flowers, tall trees, beautiful butterflies..Along with this "Adipoli food by Shahul sir" 😇😇What else do we need to stay relaxed away from city life😇

And most important one - The pool 🏊 We have enjoyed along with our 3 years and 9 months old kids.. Most memorable as this was my younger one's first entry to pool❤

For Sure, we are planning to visit again..!

Two families from Coimbatore stayed for one day at the land of the tranquil in may 2023. Mrs and Mr Sandrine and their lovely daughters are a very warm and friendly family.  Thank you very much for the wonderful stay, food and hospitality. 
Prior to our stay, I'd referred your place to my friends based on trip advisor review. I will continue to recommend your home to others.

Wonderful hospitality

Fantastic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. There, we had a great time. Their kindness was exceptional. It has a pool with naturally occurring river water, and the best thing is that it is chlorine-free. For each visitor, the pool is cleaned and refilled. We experienced the most tranquil, laid-back, and joyous days at the location because it was completely surrounded by plants, flowers, and colorful butterflies and dragonflies. Even though it wasn't on the route of our spontaneous road trip from Coimbatore, we had taken this route for this location for no apparent reason, and it was the finest choice to do so… :)  Just keep an open mind when staying here to rejuvenate amidst the natural surroundings and some nice individuals. Shaul  prepared wholesome, delicious food at home with a lot of love. And the conversations we had about current events, society, travel, and agriculture seemed to add value to our trip... Thank you, Shaul Uncle. You are now more like a best friend than a host. 
and the Stay was unforgettable !! .. Sand and Sahul Happy to met you guys both of you are such an amazing Soul :0
