For the hype and the money I expected better.  The unusual types of accommodation are mostly crowded together in a separate compound but luckily we had a tent with a nice sea view.  However these tents have been jammed round the restaurant so pick up any noise there, and unless you get one of the 1 seaview tents you look out onto the restaurant.
The menu is great, original and fun, with lots of whacky healthy options and exciting-sounding dishes. Everything we ate was good but I cant say I ever had a truly memorable meal.

Good but cramped

Cassoi is a treasure...and I hope it stays that way. Fletcher and his lovely team take care of all your needs with warmth and smiles...the vegan turtle menu is fresh and delicious and the rooms are super comfortable... definitely recommended if you're traveling alone...also, try the excellent massage and tapas menu at ciarans palolem...cassois a little piece of heaven - I cannot wait to go back!

One of the best holidays I've ever had❤️

this is one of last few beaches in Goa you'd not want to miss, if you are looking for a noise free, crowd free beach to enjoy your holidays. Of the few stay options available for stay, Cassoi is easily the best in terms of its exotic nature and is guaranteed to raise your experience several notches up. You can choose from a range of options, including a boat hut (which was a first time for us), round huts and beach facing tents, all of which are good options. The location couldn't be better and the staff (Fletcher and his entire team) is excellent and very amicable. special attraction is Tarzan ! Can assure you, it will be a one in a lifetime experience in Goa !

Simply a must!

Coming from the house of Ciaran’s we booked our cottages blindly. But that’s probably the only mistake we did. While we planned to stay at the resort for 7 days we couldn’t get ourselves to stay more than 2 days, and moved to a different beach resort. A sad dent on the image of the brand “Ciaran”
To start with, the beach isn’t safe for kids is what we were informed only when we reached the resort. The linen (bed sheets and pillow covers) weren’t clean at all. Duvets weren’t available in the cottage and we had to sleep a night in the cold with just a bed sheet to cover ourselves. Quality of service is a concern. 
The only silver lining being “Tarzan” a wonderful pet in the property. 
Definitely an avoidable property. 

Avoidable 

Staying at Cassoi has been a great experience. The beach is very beautiful with all the pine trees around. They have a restaurant and the staff were really pleasant. The tent bathroom could have been a little more cleaner.


A different experience.

Only available serviced accommodation on this deserted tropical beach. Overlooks the sea through the trees. Excellent fresh food, much better than at the couple of shacks off the beach. Wildlife protected area as turtles nest on the beach. Not much to do except relax and take in the fantastic atmosphere.

Beautiful deserted beach

My partner and I stayed in the boat house, which is beautiful! The view and surroundings are gorgeous. The Nepali staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. 

As you pay quit some money for your hut I like to points out some of point of improvement to make the customers more satisfied with there stay:
- there is no wifi in the boat room but on the site it's written there is. Maybe fix it or remove it from the website? 
- cleanliness. The toiletbin was not emptied when we came and next to the bed was a beer bottle top. Maybe check the room double? 
- there are two single mattresses but nothing holds them together so you end up in a kind of hole in the night. 
- menu of the restaurants and actual served dishes don't match. Some ingredients were missing in the dishes or in real it's served differently. On the menu it sounds amazing but it wasn't such a taste sensation. The energy booster stands out but for 150rp it's disappointing that it's served in a Madera glass instead of just a normal juice glass. Maybe adjust the menu?! 



Beautiful garden boat house s but soulless food

I hesitate to write this review only because it was so good I’m scared it’s going to get over run with tourists! Fletcher and his team treated us so well while we stayed here for 2 weeks - always so polite and attentive. We missed our flight when we arrived and Fletcher rearranged our airport transfer with no fuss. Infact nothing was too much bother throughout our stay. The location is out of this world if you want peace and tranquility. The food is delicious. The location is right on the beach and it’s very beautiful. I highly recommend and hopefully we’ll see you next year 😊😊

Thank you to Fletcher and all the staff especially the cooks who male such amazing vegan and vegetarian food (and delicious meaty and fish ones too!!) fresh.... the amount of coffee and the service was lovely!!
We arrived very late at night and the night gaurd was welcoming and available and saw tat we had water for the night.
The beach is amazing beautiful and very little development, apart from the bridge being built; hopefully this wont affect the beach too much but help transport in the area.
The beach is kept clean by a little crew that does a walk in the morning. Fletcher and his team saw to it that we had good transport to where we wanted to sometimes even on the back of his bike while he was running errands :)

First class service

We have stayed at Cassoi twice and both times been disappointed with the level of service. The reason for our disappointment was that on both our visits we were unable to check in for some time which may be OK if you are spending a few days at the property but if you have limited time (as we did, only 1 night each time) it can be frustrating given checkout time is 10am. 
On our first visit we only arrived at around 4-5pm and the tent we had requested was still in use by a family (parents sitting outside having beer with clothes hanging up around the tent). The manager explained that he had let them stay in the tent as they had a late train to catch and as such requested that we should stay in a tent away from the beach to enable them to stay longer. He continued to explain that the family needed the tent as they had small children and if we couldn’t take the other tent he would have to ask the family to pack their things and move to the other tent whilst they wait for their train. As we had specifically requested this beach facing tent (and waited for availability of this) we were disappointed by being asked to take a different tent even though we arrived 4-5 hours after checkin, and as such made to feel guilty for the family having to pack their belongings and the staff having to clean the room! Our intention was to arrive (after a long train journey) and watch the sunset from our tent but of course this was not possible so had to leave our bags and not shower/get changed and go elsewhere whilst we waited for the room to be cleaned which ruined the experience.
Nonetheless, we presumed this was the a poor judgment by the manager and decided to book once more whilst at the property and again we requested for our next visit the same beach facing tent. The manager suggested arriving closer to the checkin (12noon) to make the most of the room next time as the check out time is 10am. 
For our next stay, we arrived at 12:30 and again the tent was not ready. We were asked to wait close to an hour for the cleaners to clean it as we were informed that they had many check outs that day. It appears they only employ two cleaners who are run ragged and we felt so sorry for them having to run from room to room cleaning, it also begs the question of cleanliness given they only clean each tent for around 5mins given their high workload and time pressure. 
On both occasions we were not offered anything in terms of a drink of water/tea/coffee whilst we waited and apologies from management were not forthcoming. 
If either of these scenarios were a one off and the management made an effort to apologies and offer a drink whilst we waited then of course we would have been more sympathetic but given it appears to be a reoccurring theme we will not be staying at Cassoi again.
I would suggest visiting for a drink as the setting is nice but I, personally, would not spend the additional money at the property to stay as you can get very similar standards (where your room is ready) close by either on this beach or the smaller Talpona beach for much cheaper and by far more friendly and approachable management who are happy to have your business.
