We have received a marvelous experience by staying here. Calm and clean with a wonderful hill view. Best place for family & couple stay. I must come here in future. Although it's little bit far from Mg Marg, inspite of happy and peaceful living you have to consider it. Mr Isaak, the service man was great. Mr Arthur, the owner was so cordial.

I stayed in Mayel-Lyang Residency, Gangtok in April 2022. 

HOTEL ACCOMODATION : Prominent location, near M.G. MARG (1.00 KM), excellent view from hotel windows. 

HOTEL STAFF :  All staffs are very supportive. well mannered and helpful staffs. 

CLEALINESS : Rooms are clean, very well organized and well airy, view from all the rooms are very nice. 

FACILITY :  Tea, coffee served upon we have reached the hotel, simple lunch and dinner menu both vegetaian and non-vegetarian food is very very tasty, food served hot and fresh. Communication over phone is proper and clear.

Overall experience is very good.

Clean rooms, hospitable staff, amazing soups and herbal black teas and wholesome breakfasts always available in minutes, Mayel Lyang is a simple but elegant choice for your vacation. Extremely reasonably priced for the amazing service and cleaniliness maintained

Hotel Mayel Lyang will offer you a worry less stay at affordable price. Rooms are quiet spacious and the roof top is the best one. The staffs are very cooperative and specially Mr and Mrs Lama. The location of the property is also good not very far from MG Marg, it's a ten minutes walking distance. There are medicine shops, liquor shops and grocery shops nearby Mayel Lyang.  One can also try out food at Mayel Lyang, quality and quantity both are good. To be precise it's a good place to stay

Excellent staff, hospitality, food. The Hotel owners also very cooperative and caring , do care of everything that you need and the view from rooms are just awesome, looking forward many stays in Mayel llyang in future.

An awesome place to stay, for those who want a local feel with the necessary facilities. Though we didn't have a prior booking, the rate was very reasonable. Great views from the room as well as the rooftop. Great food, prepared on request at our convenient time, and you can suggest menu and they will get it. Vehicles go up to the front entrance, which is useful for those with good amount of baggage. Safe parking available for vehicles. Absolutely safe place to stay,WiFi and room heater and geyser avbl, rooms are specious. Best part of the hotel is the staff and the owner, who are always smiling and ready to meet any request whatever the time. A very easygoing and informal hotel with all the required facilities. They are willing to adjust with the travellers schedule and not lay down any strict hotel rules. Eating places are also there nearby as well as a liquor outlet a short distance away. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for a reasonably priced comfortable and easygoing stay with a local atmosphere. Special thanks to the owner Mr Wamgchuk, who is always around to attend personally to the needs of the guests and cheerfully explain about local sights and food any time asked by guests.

Very nice and clean place, You can see a beautiful mountain view from the window.The staff here is very friendly and ever ready to help you out. I'm very happy that we got a chance to celebrate New year at such a beautiful place. Overall it was a great experience staying there.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.

The hosts were very friendly and the service was excellent. These guys woke up at 2AM to serve us dinner since we had got stuck and reached late. They even helped in getting a cab early morning. The view from the hotel is amazing. We were in a group of 15 and had a great time.

Excellent hotel supportive staff got dinner served 2 AM at night. Awesome owners no strick rules best hotel to enjoy/stay with friends. It will be more than expectations at the budgeted price.  Superup

Nice staffs, Simple and clean accommodation, excellent view from hotel

A good place to stay at affordable price

Nice hotel with awesome  view of the mountains, good homely food and responsive owners. There is a huge difference  between  the road facing rooms and the valley  facing ones, in the bed, curtains, walls, flooring  etc. Never go for the former. I hope with the recruitment  of new, trained staff, the hotel will be much better.

Memorable place to stay

Wangchuk, the owner of the hotel, is the best host anyone can hope for.  He is extremely knowledgeable regarding the tourist places around.  Also, he is very helpful in making arrangements.  

The Hotel has a beautiful view and healthy food to offer, which all in all makes it a great experience.  Definetly going back here.

Solo trip

We were skeptical to visit, after we saw the pictures of this place. However, it was completely opposite of what we expected. The service is really good and the people working there are welcoming too.

When you talk about food you will mostly visit taste of Tibet, Doma or chopsticks or roll house, right? Well I literally have no words as to what was waiting for us, he ensured we get the taste of sikkim. We were served bamboo shoot sabzi along with gundruk and pumpkin sabzi with a local chilli chutney. In sikkim they mostly use haldi and salt in their food with very less spices, this was a perfect blend which brought the ever lasting joy on our face. 

I would really recommend you all to try this as it's a completely different experience one would really want whilst in sikkim. 

I would like to thank Mr. Wangchuk ji and his staff(Karma and Raju) for being such a wonderful team in hosting us.
