Rishikesh

I stay here for two nights in a tented accommodation with my family . It  located in a  beautiful setting above a river bed , sorrounded by mountainous forest . The drive into the forest to reach the camp is one of the rides i will never forget , it is about 9 km drive through  a pebbled river bed and over some river streams ,you get to see the dense green jungles. The park is renowned for wild elephants , leopards and tigers but unfortunately we did not see one . It was a very homely stay at Eco World , the owner Vijay B was a encyclopedia of information on the wildlife , nature and local villages.  It was a pleasure meeting him , gave us a huge opportunity to learn from him .The staff are well trained and very polite .All your needs are taken care off . We will definitely come back again in the summertime to make sure we get an glimpse of the rich wildlife staying here at this magical forest ! Thank you Mr Vijay B and team for trying your very best to show us some animals and rich bird life !

Peaceful and Serene !

My husband and I spent 4 days of our 2-week stay in India at EWCR. This place was just what we were looking for: a beautiful place away from the noise and pollution of the cities. Since we were the only guests at the camp, we got the full attention of the owner, Vijay, and his helpers. We went on multiple safarii's, with Vijay as a guide. With his background in forestry and love of nature, he provided lots of information about the birds and animals as well as the geology and history of the area. We went on personalized tours of places in the area that we were interested in including the hydroelectric dam (I'm a physicist) and several of the shrines and ashram. We also hiked to one of the remote local villages, which was really neat to see. If you are looking for the amenities of a hotel, then this is not the place for you. However if you want a place to sleep that is warm (we visited in winter), a private bathroom, and more wonderful food, tea/chai, and snacks than you can possibly eat then this is a great place. The cook even made a tasty crab soup when they found out that I was from Maryland, which is know for its blue crabs. If we come back to India someday, we would definitely love to come back here.

A relaxing time in a beautiful place

It was a fantastic experience to see a Leopard and it's cub leisurely sitting on a tree barely 50m away from us.... Mr. Bali knows where to locate them in the middle of the night... Look forward to go again & try for a tiger this time...

Leopard Sighting

Camp is situated around 10 km deep inside the Rajaji National Park. The journey to the camp from Chilla Dam itself is an unforgettable experience as it goes thru forest, almost dry river bed, water streams, an ancient temple on the way and the whole passage opens up like a panorama. . . truly mesmerizing. We were two families with smallkids and we stayed for a night in camp. Though the camp was basic suited more for a night halt for people on long treks, food was delicious. Mr Vijay (owner) is a wildlife encyclopedia and an impeccable host. Nice unforgettable place. . . .

Truly Amidst Nature . .

I went to this camp with my wife and a friend, and spent 1 night with Mr Bali and his team in the camp. Mr Bali is a very passionate host, and he personally ensured that all our requirements are taken care of. 
He came to pick us at the nearest place where we parked our car, and he drive to the camp in his jeep was an experience in itself. The real off roading terrain with suited vehicle, and expert driver took us through the flowing rivers, and pebble tracks.
Fortunately, we were the only guests in his entire camp that time, so the lunch was served customized to our preference, and was very good. In the evening we started for the night safari - again in the open jeep, and were able to spot Hyenas, Boars, Deers, Jackal, Rabbits and what seemed like a fox. Unfortunately we could not see a leopard, but the entire ride was totally worth.
Next day morning we went for a walking tour of a neighboring village and had a great experience navigating through fields, temples, and houses on mountain slopes..
Same day we were dropped back to our car b Mr Bali, and thats when the trip ended.
In all, the experience was very good. Far better than any of the many that I have had in similar environments like that of Corbett, Mudumalai, Kanha, Bandipur etc..
One reason you should go here is - This is not a very commercialized area (yet), hence the beauty is retained, and Mr Bali and his team is as awesome as a host can be!

A serene experience close to nature

It was a sudden tour  here at the camp, believe me, had an amazing experience, so much to do here if you are a wildlife lover, Mr. Vijay who is the owner also of the camp, is an amazing guy,full of wildlife knowledge, and every time there to help you, Package is absolutely justifying the inclusions, so much to eat staff is very courteous . will definitely visit again. keep rocking guys, cheeers

Amazing Place with Amazing person..

I had trepidations when I did the booking. I had got this contact thru Hello travels. But Mr Bali the owner of this camp - What a marvel of a man. He does not know the meaning of NO. There is no such word in his dictionary. Everything we asked for was replied with a Yes. What a place to live. Away from  the din in the interiors of Rishikesh where the only sound is the chirping of the birds or the wind. No mobile no TV. Away from all disturbance in the heart of nature. Excellent hospitality. Food was good. The tents were above average. Stay not expensive but most important is time one spends there. Mr Bali organized everything. From bird sighting to the safari  at the Rajaji national park. The best attraction were the night safaris. In two night safaris we had 3 sightings of leopards. Mind you I spend 7 nights in Kenya and could not see any leopards but here thrice in two nights and that too in Rishikesh. We also spotted Deers, sambars, porcupines, wild elephants and boars. Thank you EWCR and Mr Vijay Bali shall visit you again.
