Srichan Resorts

A decent hotel located above river side. I would call it a Hotel rather than a Resort as they actually don't have much facilities to offer like it. I am giving 5 star only for the sake of their rating. Positive sides : . The tea they make have never disappointed is. . Services are usually Swift as they have ample staffing. . They serve bed tea but unfortunately there is no option of coffee. Those who doesn't drink tea will have to wait till breakfast is served. . They quickly deliver hot or warm drinking water as they are unable to provide individual electric kettle in rooms. . Room heating facility is okay, was not sufficient for our room so they have provided us electric blanket which is really appreciable. . They have power backup & provides wifi too. Negative . Food is good but inconsistent. Particularly veg food was tasty but chicken dishes were hopeless on both the days of our stay. Dessert part to be uplifted & few local dishes should be in the menu. I have shared my detailed feedback at the reception, it's good for the upcoming guests. Even the rotis are made really well, appreciated! . No bread toaster in the dining hall during breakfast. . Dining hall should be warmer. . There are no activities from hotel's side to engage the guests in evening time. Atleast camp fire can be done by hotel with small music system or something for them to spend some good time over there. Upon asking, they told me that even that is chargeable. Come on, that is not such a big thing. Let them enjoy. . Please train the staff to gently knock the door rather than ringing that annoying bell even at 11pm. . Last but not the least which I have experienced in my entire Kashmir trip except the Houseboat where we have stayed, that TIP is not something which is asked for. It depends upon guests if they are pleased by your services & if they wish to appreciate it that way.
