We stayed here for 3 days at the end of May.it was very hot but the hospitality is very good.The Manager Mr Pant made our stay so comfortable.Special mention to the evening snacks and the buransh Juice,W e enjoyed it very much.The safari gate of both Dhikala and Garjia are quite near.The river kosi is just outside the resort though water was very less still we enjoyed the natural beauty.The balcony view was also great.Food was very good and freshly made for us as per order,we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to come back again.The dining area was quite hot and require ac during summer.Otherwise everything is wonderful

We stayed here for 3 nights.  The property is beautiful, green overlooking the kosi river.The ambience is calm n serene. The rooms are spacious clean with a big balcony. The staff is friendly and cooperating.  They arranged for candle light dinner too for us as we we were on our honeymoon.

This resort is located close to Garjiya gate of Jim Corbett National Park.We had stayed here for 5 nights in the second week of March  in a river view room. The entire stay was amazing. To begin with, the room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the Kosi river. The bathroom was well maintained with 24 hours hot water. Room service was excellent. Mr Rakesh took care of our every need and made sure that we had a comfortable stay. He is the person you should get in touch with once you reach the resort. The food was also delicious. We are vegetarians and don't eat spicy food. They cooked special,less spicy meals just for the two of us on all five days. They even made us local Kumaoni lunch one day. They adjust the breakfast, lunch and dinner timings according to our requirement. The resort is quite close to all the  Safari zones. One can have a relaxed holiday here, waking up to the chirping sounds of birds, sitting in the balcony listening to the Kosi river, enjoying the morning Sun. You can spend time sitting on the banks of the Kosi river. We would highly recommend this resort for people visiting Jim Corbett National Park. 

Lush green open areas at the bed of flowing kosi river, mountain view accross the balcony, crystal clear pool to relax, Savory food, warm service and amazing hospitality.
I don't ask for more. Staying here with my family and friends was an added leisure other than the trip to Corbett. 

Very beautiful resort in Jim Corbett…staff very cooperative…food is great…very hygienic clean rooms. We stayed with friends and kids safe in any way.

Amazing service and hospitality by entire staff of Prateeksha... I really appreciate the effort and courteous behaviour of Mr.Rakesh who is always available and prepared food as per my kid's choice....a very clean resort situated amidst of nature...next to kosi river...Rooms are super clean... Location is perfect... service and hospitality is Amazing..I definitely recommend this resort to everyone.

The Resort is located at very beautiful location and exactly on riverside. River access is there. Also rooms are very decent. Foods are awesome and staff are really amazing. I am impressed the kind of hospitality we got and specially thanks to Rakesh who is always available and prepare foods as per our choice.

Wow, what a experience, it's a place where soul gets its peace. Nice place to stay, enjoy with kids. The real Indian hospitality with a cheap but luxurious touch. Every one is looking for your comfort 

Went on a Family holiday. Booked two rooms and I must say we had a great Time at Pratiksha River Retreat. This is a great property and just near to Kosi River easily accessible. Resort has ample of greenery and open space that make you more relax out of the NCR hustle. 
The food was very delicious and just about homely (no high masale and chillies) . 
This property also has a swimming pool and it was very neat and clean. 
Special Thanks to Vipin Chandra (can see in picture) and his colleague for making us comfortable there. Will surely visit again.

Fantastic location though entry is bit narrow but sufficient for four wheelers. FOOD is awesome. Staff is very much supportive.Specially want to thanks Mr Rakesh who will take care of your food and Mr Harish Rana for housekeeping services. Always ready to help staff. Must recommended.

Family Stay - Weekend

We went for a vacation/ tour at Jim Corbett National Park in November 2022 and stayed at Pratiksha River Retreat for 5 days. It was, to put it simply, an awesome experience for us.
The property:
Situated just beside Koshi river, with wide expansive lawns and gardens, it fas four cottages. Each cottage has four A/C rooms, two in the ground floor and the other two on the 1st floor. Each room has its own, quite large balcony/verandah . Toilets are fairly spacious and have separate shower area.
The reception area connects to a dining area and then to a fantastic roofed terrace overlooking the river and the mountains. It is a real treat to have your breakfast there basking in the sunshine in cool mornings 
Location
From the main road, it is about 100 metres, connected with a narrow lane wide enough for four wheelers. It is near to both Garjiya and Dhikala zone.
Ameneties:
There is a moderately sized swimming pool, a thatched roof hut to enjoy your evening snacks and great food. Safaris and local sightseeings with hired cars can be arranged on request. You can even have your own bonfire just by the side of the river.
Hospitality:
Each and every staff is very well behaved, always smiling and prompt to address your problems, if any. A special mention for Mr Rakesh, who took responsibility of our meals, Mr Virender, who was instrumental to all our travel plans and of course Mr Sunil Joshi for the booking and all other arrangements.
Tariff:
Rack price of a room is around Rs 6000 including complimentary breakfast. But it is advisable to contact them for current pricing. You may go for a package i.e. MAP, which includes breakfast and dinner. In that way you will have a lesser pocket pinch.
I would whole heartedly recommend this to all travellers.

An awesome experience

This is one of the best and most beautiful properties by the riverside in Jim Corbett National Park. We have stayed at this resort two times in the past two months. First, we stayed from 26th to 28th September 2022, and the second time from 14th to 15th October 2022. I directly called Mr. Gajendra Mehra - a very nice gentleman and expressed my interest to visit the Pratiksha River Retreat to celebrate our Marriage Anniversary and our newborn baby welcome party. He very politely informed his booking team (Mr. Sunil) and the front office staff at the resort to make this trip a memorable one and do some special arrangements for the celebrations. All staff were very professional, polite, and ready to help right from the booking office to the entire Hotel staff. 

The location of the resort is on the bank of the Kosi River and there is access to the River from the Resort. One can hear the gurgling of water gushing through the big and small pebbles/stones from the room itself. All rooms are overlooking the River Kosi with mountain cliffs in the background. We were given the best category room in the resort. The views from the rooms and balcony were breathtaking, amidst green nature and the river flowing right in front of your room is a beautiful setup to die for. The rooms are equipped with all modern amenities including 24x7 hot water and electricity. They have a very neat and clean swimming pool overlooking the Kosi Cliffs. These are the very same cliffs that Corbett has described in his story of Mohan Maneater and it is the same place where Corbett heard the mysterious sound made by a colony of frogs in the month of May 1938. I had a very relaxed and great time at the pool and enjoyed swimming. The resort has a big lush green lawn with different types of trees, grass, and vegetation. The pebbled pathways are well-designed and the garden is well-maintained with a variety of beautiful flowers. The resort has direct access to the river where one can enjoy their evening while walking on the riverbed or sitting on a rock in the river (when there is less flow of water) and listening to the sound of water gushing through the boulders. 

The next day they decorated our room with flowers and balloons as part of our Marriage Anniversary and baby welcome celebration. They arranged a special candlelight dinner together with the Anniversary cake and Baby's welcome cake at their riverside restaurant but our newborn baby was crying so much, hence after cutting the cake in the restaurant we requested them to serve the dinner in our room which they did very gladly. 

The Kitchen staff was well behaved and ready to cater to all our requirements. The food was mouthwatering and homely cooked without compromising quality and quantity. The first day after our arrival we ordered Spring Rolls and maggie and I must say we enjoyed the best-ever spring rolls during our various trips to Kumaon. All meals were served in the dining hall which is located just next to the river Kosi. While eating or having tea, one can enjoy the views of the mountain cliffs and River Kosi from the restaurant. All meals were served with utmost care and passion. Their Kadhai Paneer, Boondi Raita, Dal Tadka, Dal Makhani, Mix Veg, and Hot and Sour vegetable soup were very yummy with a nice aroma. Hats off to their chef for cooking such delicious dishes for us during our stay. We had almost all the items at breakfast such as bread omelet, Fruits, stuffed Parathas, Poori Bhaji, veg sandwiches, Juice, and bread toasts with Butter and Jam. 

All the staff were very polite and humble. Special mention to Mr. Virender, Rakesh, Harish, and Santosh. They all made sure to provide the best services that one could expect during a trip away from city life in the lap of green nature and Himalayan foothills. Overall we had a great experience staying at Pratiksha and will recommend it to people who are looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolitan cities. It was the Hospitality, Charm, and beauty of the resort that we planned another trip within two weeks of our first visit.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mr, Gajendra Mehra for a memorable stay at Resort which will definitely crave us to come back here again & again.

Beautiful Riverside Resort on the Bank of Kosi River

Great service by harish ji, good food, scenic view and timely room service. Would definitely like to visit again.Good hospitality in a remote place like corbett national park. The staff including waiters, managers were very kind and polite. We have asked for a bonfire, they took care of exact timings of the bonfire and food. There was no delay in breakfast, lunch or dinner. We enjoyed the food and stay the spacious stay.

Amazing experience

Beautiful property at the river side. The resort was clean and calm. They have the most amazing staff and the food is delicious. We stayed for two nights and had their tandoori dinner and high tea both the days. Highlight was the breakfast which was specially cooked for us and was served on our table. 
Mr. Harish took great care of our family. He was just a call away, provided us with bed tea at 4 o clock in the morning on our day of jungle safari and made amazing sandwiches. 5 stars for the staff. 
The property needs little maintenance though. The walls and beds are outdated and needs renovation. 
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the resort. 

Beautiful and calm

I stayed at Pratiksha River Retreat Resort from 16-18th October. I loved the staff at the resort, they were so courteous and always greeted with a smile on their face. The food at the resort is delicious, I recommend Aloo Gobhi andDal Makkhani if you are someone who love north Indian food. The breakfast had limited options, so this is one point I would ask the resort to improve. As for the rooms, we had booked river view rooms and even though they weren't luxurious like a 4 or 5 star resort, they were clean and spacious. The room accessories like blankets etc. need some upgradation but for someone who looks for clean spaces to live in when travelling, the resort didn't disappoint. The resort has direct access to Kosi River and such a great outdoor lawn/ground to play or sit. They also have a pool which we thoroughly enjoyed. If the resort make some improvements as suggested, then this will become the perfect place to stay in :) That said I had a great experience with my stay here and will recommend it to people who want a great place and value for money.
