The Oasis Mussoorie - a member of Radisson Individuals

The Oasis Mussoorie by Radisson is a charming property located near yet pleasantly removed from the frenzy and movement of Library Chowk, which marks one end of the Mussoorie Mall Road—the heart of the main town. The property stands on an isolated hill, offering magical views of snow-peaked mountains and surrounded by tall, mighty trees. They have a private road leading to the property and it’s the last property on that road, with nothing beyond or near it for about a kilometer. Since the market is a very long walk from the hotel, they provide a free shuttle service for trips to and from Library Chowk. From there, rickshaws are available to take you to Mall Road, which is another kilometer away. Do note that the last shuttle returns from the chowk around 8-9 PM, so plan your dinner outings accordingly. While the hotel's isolation enhances the tranquility, having a taxi on hand at all times, as we did, is helpful for flexibility. We were given interconnected rooms as a family of four, and they were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff's courteousness added to the overall pleasant stay. The breakfast spread was extensive, though the menu began repeating after two days. For lunch and dinner, we went for à la carte, and the food was delicious. The property features one indoor restaurant where the breakfast buffet is served. The open terrace restaurant was closed due to the winter chill, but high tea was served there in the evening alongside a cozy bonfire. Sometimes high tea is served in the bar and café near the reception. An adorable touch during our stay was waking up on Christmas morning to find stockings filled with candies outside our rooms. While it may require a bit of a budget, the experience is truly worth every penny. Overall, I think The Oasis is one of the best options for a stay in Mussoorie, amidst nature, away from, and yet not so far from, the bustling energy of the town centre.
