Rishis International

We had a wonderful stay at Rishis in Rishikesh. It was the perfect escape from the city center, and we found ourselves really seeing the beauty of small town villages, and untouched nature in uttarakhand. Stuti was one of the warmest hosts we've ever had the pleasure of crossing paths with, and Pooja cooked up really simple, wholesome home cooked meals for us everyday, exactly like ghar ka khaana. Their 2 dogs were so fun to be around, and we loved watching them just enjoy the compound. Rishis is surrounded by nature all around, and the trees are majestic. The sound of the stream, and watching many colorful birds swoop in and out, was exactly how we wanted to spend time with her 10 month old daughter. Our room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed getting a tour of the property by Stuti, and learning the history of how each part of the house came to be. She showed us the vegetable patch where they source the ingredients for the meals and a 100 year old mango tree! When we ventured into the villages nearby, we loved interacting with the locals, and were amazed at how welcoming they were. We enjoyed our conversations with Stuti many times in the day, and we hope she enjoyed watching her daughter explore Rishis. We did not want to leave, so we'll definitely be back, and would recommend Rishis to anyone who is looking to reconnect with nature and see the beauty of living a simple life.
