Shaheen Bagh - A Luxury Resort & Spa

Hidden gem... Great place and hospitality... The food was also quite good. Greenery all around. Though a little construction was taking place nearby which caused some disturbance during the day. Intricately decorated rooms are also a highlight.

We organised an academic meeting at Shaheen Bagh. Although the venue had not hosted a large hybrid meeting before, the owners were extremely helpful with all additional arrangements and various small tweaks that were needed. In particular, the wifi was superb and set up to support upto 100 people online (although we did not get near this number). I would suggest requesting technical IT help, it requires an extra charge but really helps with conducting a smooth meeting. 

The surroundings are serene and ideal for discussions, and the food really feels fresh and tasty! Be aware that this is a boutique resort, so the general atmosphere is not that of a well-oiled large hotel. In winter it can get really cold so it's a good idea to go prepared. The rooms are large and old style, and the heating variable (please request the large oil heaters).  However, they do have beautiful warm razais! What I really liked was their openness to feedback and initiating change. Look forward to visiting again.

It's an amazing place if you are looking for a peaceful holiday. The best thing about Shaheen Bagh is Sandhya ma'am and Arun Sir who make you feel at home and all our requests were looked after so well. Its a great resort away from the hustle bustle of daily life

We had gone to attend a marriage and were lucky that we got the vintage room. Our room was lovely and it was like living in a palace. Bathroom was surprisingly very modern with all modern facilities and stocked like a five star hotel but still retained the Vintage theme. Beds were soft, extra pillows provided.  It was very cold so on asking we were provided with a room heater. There was railing chair lift to go up and down. Dining and food was excellent. I recommend trying the local dishes. There is a lovely library and it was an experience of a life time. One warning is don't leave doors open as there are monkeys around and they are pretty bold. 

Could spend one nite only but that was good enough to plan for next round soon. Overall v nice experience, warmth of host and staff, homely fresh food et all, just gets pretty cold at night during peak winter time so be prepared- heater may not suffice.  Coming bk soon!

Beyond beautiful stay, the maintenance and hospitality is amazing, the staff stays on their toes for all your requests. They have such a calm aura , you feel so close to nature. The liberals/ spa / theatre and the most amazing pool . Highly recommend to stay atleast for 2 days to explore the full property. 
They know exactly how to take care and make the guests at home and comfortable.

Shaheen Bagh exceeded our expectations in all aspects, whether it was Food, Comfort or Hospitality.Rooms are beautiful & very aesthetically done up .... The owners & staff were amazing & a delight to interact with.They made sure our stay was comfortable and pleasent.

Since we were a group of 13 they gave us a common room with fire place for our evening get togethers. 

Would highly recommend this place.

Heavenly Abode in the Wilderness

Lush greenery and chirping birds surrounded me as I started my day at the tranquil Shaheen Bagh resort. All the pictures of birds and vegetation decorated on the walls of the resort have been personally clicked by Arun (owner) himself. My room was the parakeet room and was beautifully decorated in Parakeet colours. Food was light and deliciously made. A trip to the stream nearby is a must do. It was like home away from home. A cozy, warm and pleasant experience. Thank you Arun & Sandhya, Sushil and team for making us feel welcomed.

Good property. Being a resort obviously a bit far from the main dehradun city. No room service from 10 pm till 6am. Just wondering if someone has something urgent then how will he manage?
I stayed with my family. Overall a good experience but not worth paying 15k per night. Anything around 10k is worth it. 

Good place but with some t&c

We spent 4 days in total bliss and comfort at Shaheen Bagh. My sister is visually impaired and no words would suffice to express the care and concern exhibited by everyone on the premises. Thanks to their thoughtfulness, she was able to access most of the property independently and enjoy it thoroughly. Even though it rained heavily most of the time, the sunshine on the staff’s faces and attitudes made our trip memorable. Shaheen Bagh is an ideal place to visit for those wishing to experience a truly unique holiday. Kudos to Sandhya and Arun and their absolutely wonderful staff!

An early morning exit from Delhi onto NH 44. The drive was g8, the highway is excellent with lots of eateries some old some new.  A week prior would have been crazy with the kawars owning the road which was the reason for us pushing the trip by 2 weeks. 
The property is tucked away somewhere on the Mussorie road with the last 10 minute spent on a narrow path which ensures no big bases and truck are getting there.  We were met by the hostess the vivacious Sandhya who treats everyone like an extended family and the hospitality of her house is for every visitor alike.  The staff (and we got a chance to see them over 3 days) was amazing.  Anil, Rajan, Deepak, Vivek to take few names.  Good bunch which kept guest happy and looked after. 
Walking around despite the rain to the eye the place was well kept, considering its a sprawling green forest area. Around the fringes you could see nature trying to keep it wild and crazy, but the owners were not testing their might and proving nature wrong.  You need to let the angel trumpet grow and fall where they want, the wild vines to creep everywhere, the moss to form a cover on everything,  the wild roses to bloom.  Sculpture but don't over engineer, thankfully the place is real.
Arun the co owner (b/w the husband and wife who is the better half I couldn't fathom) is a photographer and his work is displayed across the property walls. They bought the land in 2008 and some antiques have been sourced from a bungalow sold down south.  The longer and more detailed part of this story is saved for another trip. 
Did I mention it has a SPA and Babita who is the massuere is simply awesome forcing me to visit the place everyday (0 compliant from me).  
In fact the place has enough to keep one engaged and the hostess ensures their is something happening (we had impromptuteen mehindi organized).  If not for the rain a walk to spot birds, a visit to a nearby lake, go to Landour (which incidentally we did having found a great family on vacation at the property....officially found myself an AKKA) there is stuff to do if you so wish, else sit back sip coffee or wine (carry your own) order Pakoda (chef is good) and listen to raindrops hit the roof and breath in the freshness of the earth.
Between the rain filled days and nights with the lights coming on in Mussorie and Shaheen Bagh guest capturing that view on their camera it was relaxing and fun.
Last but not the least Sushil, Manager at the site was the best.  Laughing,  engaging and keeping a watch on each of his guest and what they may need. What else do you need to have a good holiday.

Absolutely best stay I’ve had in years .. very reasonably priced and you get beautifully curated views and absolutely delicious food grown on local farms provided by an amazing staff.  I can’t think of a single thing I would change and hands down a place I would visit again and again

I enjoyed the rains, the birds on my balcony and a lovely swim in the pool 

Next time I would stay a whole week instead of a few days - don’t even think of staying anywhere else !
