Very late to give my review. We 3+1 stayed in mid-Jan 2019 during our first visit to Mahabalipuram from Chennai. Room was good, courteous staff. BF spread was nice. Night candlelight dinner for us arranged near the poolside by Hotel Owner itself!! He displayed fresh fishes of various variety and prepared mouth-watering dinner based on our choice! Still, my mother relishes that dinner. Liked this place definitely visit next time! Thank you for your hospitality

We were put up here as the hotel we were booked in to didnt have a twin room. The staff were delightful, so attentive and the service was excellent. Rooms were basic but clean, there was a lovely balcony set among the trees. It was a quiet oasis in this seaside town.
Wifi was poor in the room but excellent in reception and the air con worked very well! It was an easy walk to sights and close to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was good but no variety. The mosquitos were bad though, that was the only downside.

An beautiful cozy home stay. Amidst nature right in the center of the town yet untouched by hasel or noise from outside. Outstanding management and staff. The place is well connected to all the roads and important sites.

Big rooms , Big Bathroom , Clean , and Reasonable that’s all I got here , Good linen , Friendly Owner and Staff , though due to off season pool was not clean , But I will recommend this for a good location

Amazing!

Nice place

Once you get past the extremely grotty lobby area, the rooms are not too bad. Quite large, with a small balcony, and air conditioned. Furnishings are ancient and in need of refurbishment (as is the entire establishment!), but they are functional. Door security is very basic, but there are bolts that lock from the inside. Wi Fi only works in the reception area/lobby, no room safe, and no fridge, despite the ambient heat. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the ensuite shower/WC reasonably clean, but I had to keep the door closed on the first day to keep the sewer smells out of the room. However the water was hot and decent towels, shampoo and soap are provided. The location is a bit dodgy too, but the community seems safe enough. A fifteen minute stroll from the beach and the shore temple, plenty of stores and restaurants along the way. There is a swimming pool on the third floor, (no elevator) and be sure you can get out without help before you jump in, as there are no steps. The staff are friendly and helpful, but English is definitely not their chosen language. If you can negotiate a good price, you will be OK here for a few days.

Run down and very grubby!

We overnighted here on way to airport in Chennai, so wasn't too critical.  We just wanted a place to drop off our bags and get a shower and some sleep before we caught an early flight from Chennai.  Failed on the shower bit as there was no water.  Not their fault as some idiot below left the tap on and drained the water but on the ceiling.  Housekeeping should have noticed this.  Room itself was adequate with a noisy but working AC.  Rooms need a total refit and modern bathrooms.  The common areas are nice with mature gardens.  I like the stone masons working in the drive leading to the hotel.

Good location and nice pool, but starting to fall apart due to lack of maintenance.

Last week end we happened to stay at this hotel and had a very bitter experience . We checked into room no 900 and found no water supply in the rest room. On informing the reception, no action was taken. Next day morning we had to attend a function and hence we had to take water from a distant room to complete our morning duties. 

The room was called ELITE SUITE and the costliest in the hotel. Then imagine the rest. Never ever imagine of staying in this hotel, atleast as a family.

no value for money

The only good thing is that hotel is in really good location. Apart from this everything else sucks.
The staff and management is really rude and unprofessional. There is pool but one can only use from 6am to 6pm. Usually we need pool after a long day to rest but by the time you come back from sightseeing, the pool will be closed.No one picks call for room service. No one responds if you ask anything. 
Please avoid.
